Checked this out on Saturday... Great variety, prices seemed fair, and I loved the concept/execution. Cool atmosphere and helpful staff as well. I don't see how this won't end up being an overwhelming success!

    Cheers!

We run the lines clear before putting a keg on tap for customers. As long as you tilt your glass and open the tap all the way open, things should pour smoothly. If there's an issue with any line we can put it into maintenance mode so staff can troubleshoot the line and take off any ounces on a customer that used a bad line. So far it's been very rare to have any issue aside from customers pouring straight down into a glass. In that case it's clear they've only paid for the liquid in the glass.

I stopped by on Friday. I really like the space. The concept is really cool too. Some of you might not like the high hipster factor but I don't mind it. As long as they keep tapping good beers I'll keep coming by.

The hipster factor I experienced has nothing on The Source!

6 blocks from me... is that far enough for an excuse?!?

    So here's my first tab:
Ommegang Independence Day IPA 3.9 oz $1.95
    Prairie Brett C. 7.1 oz $6.21
Ninkasi Total Domination 6.1 oz $2.67
Avery Perzik Saison 3.4 oz $1.70
    Prairie Artisan Brett C 3.6 oz $3.15

Total: 24.1 oz $15.68, a little bit distorted per 10.7 oz of the Prairie for $9.36, which is not a bad deal itself, but everything else was .50 an ounce or less.

I think this is a WAY cool concept. Nice work Denver_Beer_Guy, and nice to meet you.

Question: What happens next time if I get to 40 ounces? A field sobriety test, followed by a re-set if I pass?

No field sobriety test needed. Just a quick check in with a staff member who can assess you visually and re-up you. Process takes about 1 minute.

@Todd - Thanks for coming in and checking us out last night. Hopefully you found some good beers to try.

Was reading some comments on Facebook related to your post and you and your friend mentioned that we could be doing more with the technology. Just wanted to pick your brain and see what you guys had in mind. Cheers.

My pleasure. And I did find some good beers. Magnolia IPA, Off Color Fierce, Hogshead Denver Pride. All were damn tasty and the quality was solid.
I'd be more than happy to share my thoughts. I was planning to drop some initial thoughts into a review, but the rest could be done on the side over a beer.

Sidenote: We might try to swing by on our BeerAdvocate Does Denver! crawl too.

Paid a visit last wednesday, very cool concept, went to a similar place in New Orleans but all they had was Wine and Cognac. Food was especially good, looking forward to going back and trying some bacon wrapped corn on the cob

I had the chance to stop by last night and loved it.

Didn't eat, only had beer. Thought the atmosphere was excellent and was a really good set up overall - really nice patio.

I'm nervous that as this place becomes more popular it'll get too crowded on weekends to get a good experience, but time will tell.

I tried Almanac Saison Delores, Lost Abbey Avant Garde, Lost Abbey Serpent Stout, Evil Twin Yin & Yang, Bruery Autumn Maple Ale, Ballast Point Calico and Alesmith Anvil ESB - all beers I'd never tried before so I was pretty psyched about that.

Definitely a really cool place! Will be back!

My feeling is its bigger than it looks especially outside and on the mezzanine. Our weather really works for outdoor drinking practically year round. If it gets too popular, maybe @Denver_Beer_Guy will just have to open another!

Made it here last weekend and really enjoyed myself as well. Good food and atmosphere, lots of seating inside. Had no problem doing multiple pours for me and mine. The taplist could've been a bit more interesting but was still pretty solid. Good experience overall.

I thought the taplist had a good variety of styles and breweries. For every BA-type that is looking for a rare gem, there are going to be people who are wanting to branch out from the 90 Schilling and Dale's Pale Ale that they are used to. I thought there was a good mix of approachable styles like Alaskan White, and Breck Vanilla Porter to more lucrative breweries like Almanac, Lost Abbey and Evil Twin.

Hopefully they keep mixing it up though - I would like to see some Belgian and German imports making the rotation in the future.

Interesting concept, might have to check it out while brewery hopping in RiNo during GABF week.

    Does First Draft have TVs?

Thinking of hitting up a drinking establishment to watch the Steelers-Pats game tonight and have yet to check out First Draft.

When I was there approximately 3 weeks ago there was one large TV on the main level, but it's up above the tap handles so it's pretty high up there on the wall. There is an upstairs area that I didn't go up to so there could be one or two up there, but I didn't see any from the main level.

    Thanks for the insight.

That set up does not sound like it is going to work for tonight. Guess I will have to make my inaugural visit there another time.
