Did a side by side of 7/21 and 8/04. 7/21 definitely undercarbonated, but the taste is nearly identical. I had the same exact complaint with Abrasive. Surly needs to figure out the canning issue quick.

Note how the head vanishes, and how the reviewer is noting the lack of carbonation.

My initial 4-pack was canned on 7/16, and I also had the same lack of carbonation.
The beer is delicious, however.

I also noted a recent batch of Furious that was also similarly (weakly) carbonated. The
canning date of that was 7/23, if I recall correctly.

 

Is there another planned canning anytime soon?

 

I think everything they had has been canned and distributed. Todd said in a tweet someone posted here that this is the only run for it this year to be canned till next year.

 

Any recent sightings of Todd in any DSM Hy-Vees?

 

Only one drop in IA so far. Doubt there are any stragglers still in DSM.

 

Todd is sitting at 28 now on the top 250 list. Was it that high previously or did whatever changes just happened give it a bump?

 

It was around 110 before the rating system change this morning. I notice it was much higher up the list this morning as well.

I also lost about 50 of the top 250 so now I have a lot of ticking to do. Stupid east coast ipas that I refuse to trade for....

 

Well, maybe they don't want you trading for them! Have you ever thought about that?

That's probably the case lol. They love hoarding and cellaring their dumb ipas and won't trade them for anything in our area except TG Stouts (minus rover truck, but maybe now they will since it's the base beer for MD).

Yeah, east coast hops can be a pain to get unless you have a trading partner.
