Everyone needs a nice snifter glass for their fancy beers and a nonic for the casual stuff. Everything else is superfluous.

Spiegelau stemmed tulip glasses. My wife surprised me with a set last weekend. Amazingly light in weight, brilliantly clear, perfect for aromatics and just the right size - 15 oz. Best glasses out there.

    This is the correct answer.

Not sure if mine is a Spiegelau (bought at thrift shop) but it's at least the same style of tulip, and I agree - that's a great glass.

Indeed. Also, can't go wrong with a 12 or 13 oz snifter. Simple, good size, no fuss or muss.

Tulip, but I might think otherwise if I had a Teku.

I second this, these are the perfect glasses. I like the shape better than the smaller tulips, and they're by far the most versatile. Plus, the unbranded ones are dishwasher safe, which is a bonus.

Well, the burning question is: What is @Greywulfken 's fourth choice of glassware :grinning:

If I lost all of my glasses in a freak earthquake, the one I'd save as it fell of the shelf would be an imperial Irish pint glass with an etched logo in the bottom.

Yeah, I do tend to use them mostly for that kind of stuff too, but I've found them to be a pretty good all-purpose beer glass, as well.

I've probably had more beers out of a nonic than anything else; however, I do enjoy a tulip. Lately, I've been on a teku kick. That said, give me a world class beer and I'll drink it out of a paper cup. Larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge.

I really love using my Teku, but the tulip is probably more universal.

Some sort of mildly flared tulip, or perhaps a snifter, is probably the right answer, but my go-to is one of these bad boys (though, specifically, ones that rep for Dragoon and Fate, two of AZ's finest):

A goblet fashioned from the skull of my worst enemy so that I may gain his knowledge with each sip. Or a chalice because I'm fancy like that.

    A tulip.

Just make sure it's larger than 12oz if you're going to pour a 12oz beer in there.

Give it room for a head and for you to actually get that smell

Well, I enjoy drinking out of a Mason Jar a lot but a Standard Pint Glass if I could only have a single glass style.

To be honest, the classic Duvel tulip works perfectly for almost any beer.

I have a similar glass from Troegs with Dreamweaver printed on the side. Not a fan of wheat beers, but the glass is the perfect shape.
