I'm quite interested in the Nitro Coffee Stout. If Black & Brew wins BBCs recent Vault Vote contest, that might be a nice side by side comparison to make.

I'm kind of indifferent to the rest - the Nitro Pub Ale, perhaps, but I can't really say I go out of my way for pub ales (a la Boddingtons, et. al.)

I'd try them. The world can use more nitro cans.

I'm pretty sure that SA Scotch Ale won the Vault Vote.

Yep, here you go... Vote to Bring Back Your Favorites

Oh Sam Adams, the hatred you inspire in others. We all have way too much time on our hands...

Thanks for posting the link - I had not seen the final tally yet. Bummer, though, that Black & Brew didn't win it

Nitro is hit and miss with me. I think it works beautifully for stouts (mainly lighter ones) but other stuff has been a mixed bag with me. I prefer the reg. version of Old Chub, for example.

You can now add IPA to the list.

    FYI:
Guinness will likely beat Sam Adams to the punch with their own year-round Nitro IPA coming out in October. Their IPA will be in 11.2 oz cans though.

    - The IPA ABV listed on the can label is quite different from the info in the press release. (5.8% on the can label / 7.5% in the press release) The press release also lists all cans at 16oz. and not at 15.2oz. listed on the labels.

    100 IBU nitro IPA?

Um.....k. I love Sam Adams but that sounds ridiculous. Hopefully it's ridiculously tasty.

Thanks for the info, not a big nitro person, but I will try anything so I am down for these when they come out. Not so old I can't have my mind changed

I'll try the stout. Stouts are like pizza.. It's hard to make a bad one.

Every new Sam Adams release, my first thought is who are they trying to take sales from.

Sometimes it's obvious "Grapefruit Scul... uh I mean Grapefruit Rebel IPA", Coney Island suddenly has a hard root beer after that Father's stuff took off. Not sure who these are aimed at Left Hand comes to mind, various ABInBev, Diageo products I suppose.

Like another dozen people on here, the Coffee Stout is the only one that sounds interesting to me

NICE!! Thanks for posting this, I was wondering which would win. Scotch Ale deserves more than just the variety pack, but I'll take it.
Hand's down always been my favorite from SA.
Coffee stout would be the one for me.

Seriously. I had a bigger SA attitude when I discovered BA in 2008. I've softened on SA. I get that they make & strive for accessible craft & I know that for me even most of their stuff tends to be average, whatevs...Lienenkugels has replaced SA for me as the why bother of accessible craft. Their price point should be around Yuengling's & even then I'd go w/Yuengling.:astonished:
