I agree with you, my friend. If ever there was a perfect Moody Blues beer, it's Velvet Merkin. And, the Moodies are perfect for a day like today!

Had a 1/2 day of work today; took my daughter to her new middle school to get her schedule and meet her new teachers; all in all 2 hours of fun.
So I could get back to work....

The Axeman Cometh (Twice)! Both posts today are cans dated 7/31. I have additional cans coming with more recent date so interested to SHRED them as well. This is a seriously damn good beer and worthy of current ranking on Top 250. Citra & Mosaic? Are you kidding me?
I willingly and with extreme pleasure submit to face-shredding.....PLEASE! :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

I was and to a certain point, I still am not a Little Feat fan; but this double live album including the extra tracks is just phenomenal! Beats the hell outta the studio tracks and a lot of other live albums out there.

I am with you on that statement. There are quite a few bands whose studio work is pale in comparison to their live albums. I give you the examples of Alive - Kiss, Frampton Comes Alive - Peter Frampton and Waiting On Columbus - Little Feat. Something about the energy of the show and the crowd that add to the songs. All three are excellent live albums that are better than the albums that came from the studio before them.

Never liked Kiss and always thought it was really weird that the only Frampton songs you would ever hear on the radio were off of the Comes Alive album. I remember hearing the studio version of Dixie Chicken on the radio every once in a blue moon; but other than that nothing.
Listening to this [Outtake] now. This was an OUTTAKE?:grimacing::astonished:

Don't want to highjack the thread, but seriously? This is an outtake?! WTF?

Yeah, it's surprising; a LOT of those outtakes are just killer rockin' tunes. Back in the day there was only so much room on the vinyl though.

Today was my annual (well except for last year as I was preparing for a knee replacement surgery) One day presidential traverse in the White Mts here in NH, a little over 22 miles 9000 ft of elevation gain. A nice day hike and well the new knee held up and we scheduled the date for next year. And now the relaxation has started with one of these.
