I have to second the Sucks/Lagunitas post above. I just can't find it in Houston fresh anymore. This weeks I went by my local Specs and it was bottled May 4th of this year, and the same can be said for what was at Whole Foods, who just got it and put it on the shelf 1 week earlier. I think Lagunitas is shipping their old shit to Houston/TX
Plus I know I look like a douche holding that bottle up in the air and spinning it around looking for the black date on the neck, digging thru each six pack checking....what have I become

After reading all the others here, I hesitantly come to grips with my answer... La Fin Du Monde. My last tasting didn't only fail to stun me, I thought it was only 'OK'. It hurts especially badly because my first bomber of this was transcendent and got me into craft beers. It was like finding out the 'gorgeous model' you lost your virginity to is actually only a 5 on the hotness scale and works as a bagger at the local grocery store.
But of course I'll have to have more samples to confirm my suspicions... of the beer only!!

Magic Hat #9. I used to love it 16-17 years ago. Haven't had it in a long time and have no plans to do so. Pretty much goes for all Magic Hat products.

90 minute IPA. The beer that got me into hoppy beers, but there are just too many better examples now.

When I was first getting into craft beer, I thought Flying Dog Raging Bitch was out of this world. Now I realize it's actually a pretty crappy IPA, though I still drink it because of the nostalgia factor.

I've become a lot less enthused with Dogfish Head stuff - I haven't returned to them much the past few years, other than a 4-pack of Punkin each year. By my 2nd year into craft, I was all over these guys, but over the past 3 years, I've found a lot of the stuff I used to love too sweet for my tastes.

Any juicy IPAs of yesteryear. Too many to mention, really. It's not that they aren't still great beers, but dry-hopping with super juicy varietals is ubiquitous at this point, the result of which is that those special, juicy IPAs simply aren't that rare or unique anymore.

Do I still love them, though? You better believe it.

Foothill's Jade. When I first had it last year I was blown away. This year not so much. Did it change, did my palate change? I can't say.

More or less every beer that has "wowed" me the first time never quite took the same effect the second, third etc time I've tried it. Assuming I have tried it for a second or third time. Some I have yet to try again. Note: I have no problem not being overwhelmed by a beer. In fact I normally do not expect to be. A few examples I can think of:

    Korbinian
    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
    Piraat
    Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout
    Allagash Curiex
    Pumking
    Saison Dupont

I have to agree with this. I think ever since they started making it in bigger batches and bottling it regularly Jade has not been as good.

I have to agree. I have been looking for fresh Sucks here in San Antonio and I haven't found any! I was just at Whole Foods yesterday and I think the same dates were on the bottles.
