Anybody know what size pours the guest taps are going to be? Or are they going to be variable because some are going to be sought after a lot more than others i.e. BA Dark Lord

I think you're over-thinking the trouble this would cause. 2 Solutions:
    1. Change one of the stations to members-only
    Better:
    2. The Society members only get one bottle to be picked up any day within 2 weeks after release day (not on release day itself. Any member that wants more has to stand in line like everyone else. Any bottles not picked up in the 2 week period go in the cooler for the general public.

They would only sell like 200ish memberships and the cost should more than cover any "trouble" it might cause.

Seems like an easy solution to me. For the record, I'm the guy that posted it on Facebook but it was @Bobbyearl's idea a couple years ago for CCB - this situation just reminded me of the conversation.

Gunhaver if you don't mind me asking what ranges are the pours in? As low as 8oz? 6? 4?

Personally I'm going to leave the Three Floyd's and most guest taps (besides the Johnathan Berliners) alone and go for the CCB beers.

Will everyone be updating this thread so we can get real-time reviews the day of the fest?

I wonder how many people that weren't planning on going, are now gonna add to the madness.
    Gonna be fun!!

Except they don't need a membership type of deal. All the horny guys that end up in strip clubs in Tampa finance their operations besides what they pump back in from the profits, they are the equivalent of like the Bruery's RS membership. Joey's dad owns I think multiple strip clubs but it may be just one and that's why he never really needed any other investors.

This is just a fact, I'm not trying to imply anything by it.

I missed the Maple Bacon & most of the Three Floyds last year. I was a fan of the CCB Peach & Papaya IPA's.

Sad news to hear for sure since I'm flying down for this, but I'll try to score some Murcielago and maybe some extras at the end of the day. Regardless, the tap list is pretty epic. Should be good times for all.

And also, anybody know any good craft liquor stores in the area that are good to check out before I fly back?

The Whole Foods right around the corner is pretty good. Usually their CCB prices are actually cheaper than the tap room since the brewery doesn't want to undercut the retail market.

What ohsaycanyoubeer said, but it's a well known fact so I'd get there ASAP or it'll get cleaned out of the good stuff if there's any with so many people going to Hunahpu's.

There is a Total Wine and Beverage and Whole Foods just around the corner from the brewery that both have pretty good selections. If you want to venture further out, there are lots of other options. Talk to the locals at the event. There will be several local homebrew clubs setup and dispensing free beer, they can tell you all the cool places to go (that's where I got my intel last year).

what they said about craft beer stores. in Brandon (30min drive) is a liquor store called Kingdom Liquors. Best Selection and knowledge of craft beers hands down, but he is a dollar or 2 more than everyone else.

Good, good. Thank you all for the tips. On another side note, once the lot is full next to CCB, is there any good spot that the locals know where to park. I've been looking on Google Maps and it all seems pretty much absent of street parking until you go about a half to a full mile away from the brewery. I'm going to try to park at the Sears place, but I'm not holding my breath.

The kind of people that don't want customers bitching because something didn't go as planned. With a reserve type membership you better deliver what you promised since you were paid in advance. With the way they do it, they can do w/e they want and that's a big plus for business owners. They can just put out stuff that meet their standards and dump what doesn't instead of having to worry about what you promised your customers before you even started brewing for the year. There's many different ways of starting and growing a brewery and their way seems to be working just fine for them so why ask for a possible hassle?
