    S&S 5 went on at Astoria Bier & Cheese (Broadway) around 6. Had 2 glasses, based on the crowd I am guessing it lasts for another few hours, maybe the night.

    8oz pour for $7

    S&S 5 was also on at Mission Dolores today along with Carton's odub. 10 oz. pour for $8 (actually $7 since it was HH).

    Love how people use the word "hype." Most people I have ever chatted with about beer put HF up there at top of list when discussing many styles. If someone is saying Mary or Clara was best thing ever, that is hype. Being excited for Abner, S&S 5, Susan, etc. is due to them being excellent beers (according to many, many people). Man, a ton of people would love to be in the new situation we are.

    Had S&S #5 at Cooper's Chelsea just now, 12oz pour for $8 I think, which is a pretty good price it seems.

    Eh, that's too bad. I guess everyone has different tastes. I can definitely understand why it's not for some as it's not a tropical fruit bomb and has an herbal astringency which might be a put off for some. For me, it's one of my favorite DIPAs period. I enjoy it more than Abner and Ephraim but not as much as Double Citra and Double Galaxy or SS #4 (which are probably 3 of my top 10 DIPAs). I've had it at 2 different bars since Friday and really enjoyed it as much as when I first had it up at the brewery in January. Swift Hibernian Lounge has it on tap today if anyone cares.

    Yeah I was excited to try it, but I felt it had a very dry mouthfeel that I didn't find refreshing. Do you know what kind of hops were used in the #5?
