Agree that soda has a high margin, and even that pizza may be one of the best margins as far as food goes, but, without getting caught up in individual/specific item comparison and simply considering "food" vs. "beer," beer margin is consistently higher than food, even more so when the restaurant brews its own. Realize there will be fluctuations among different kinds of establishments and that percentages will vary depending on size--even that there will be outlying exceptions in a specialty market for instance, but really feel this is generally true as an industry.

Surprisingly, I have yet to see this. And I spend ~5 days a week in dog-friendly breweries. Also haven't seen a dog fight or much by way of screaming babies. I think in both cases it's testament to dog/baby-parents knowing their children and when necessary, allowing them to dictate arrival and/or leaving times.

I believe this was in reference to a brewery somewhere in ny. I have no idea what their local ordinances require. The plcb has lots of regulations specific to children. They just happen to allow them in bars with a guardian (who I think has to be at least 25 or something...?). But I'm pretty sure none of these are federal laws, so it's anybody's guess what their local laws (or even insurance policy) allows for.
I mean, it's obv stupid that someone would be allowed to make their kids wait outside while they drink, and then drive their kids home. But a lot of lcb regulations end up functionally being pretty stupid.
I haven't been there in 12 hours or so, so I'll likely stop by.

Is it free street parking after 4 or 5 in that area? I can't remember.

I'm gonna try to swing by around 7 or so - because I don't have an issue with drinking on a Monday night, but I do have an issue driving on the parkway east before 6:30.

Haha, yeah I was definitely upset that day. I understand policy of not being able to stay there with I just thought it was crazy I couldn't even get a sip and spit it out before purchasing a growler with kids. I appreciated that Pittsburgh seemed to get it right on that aspect. Took the kids to several places and no one ever minded them.

Just a heads up, Beermuda has a few decent bottles in stock:
    Black Note
    120
    World Wide
    Black Ops (2013)
    BCBS
    BCBBW
    BA- Old Rasputin
Utopias (for the low low price of $309)
    Xocoveza
    Big Black Voodoo Daddy

I think some meters stop at 5 and some say 24 hours. I've heard the 24 hour ones don't get ticketed after 5 or 6 or something either, but I'm apparently a cautious cat and usually pay through like 9 or 10.

Wow. Didn't know black note ever saw distro in Pittsburgh. Any idea of bcbs price?

Edit: nevermind, I forgot how far beermuda is. Would probably have to be in the $5/4-pack range to be worth it.

Isn't 2014 too "new" to be in your collection?

I didn't know that there are 24hr meters there as well......But it is the vacation hotbed of Homestead so I can see why they have them...........

Does the money you feed the 24hr meter guarantee that your car will still be there in the morning?

Only been to Beermuda once. Are those bottles to go or for on site only?

Wow, just looked at menu. That place seems absurdly expensive. Are those in-house prices with a 50÷ discount for takeout or have I just not bought bottles of anything since 2004?

$15 for a 12oz of Black Note translates to a $30 bomber. With all due respect to H1KB, if they had bombers of Black Note, they'd be more than $30.

They are really expensive. Caliente's had BA Rasputin for $25 so $33 seems a little silly.

Black note's normally what like a $20-25 4-pack? Same for bcbs. I saw dfh immort ale in there for $12 - thought that was more like $4-ish typically. $5 hopslam vs. $18-20 6-packs. That's just the few I noticed.

It's like they buy all their bottles at retail from other bottle shops and then add a 90-100÷ markup.
