But don't forget that you have the privilege of driving all the way out to New Ken as well! Can there be a value put on that?

You know how it is, though. They're going to charge what people will pay.

Again, WADR to them, H1KB was just charging I think $40 for barrel aged Gratitude... A product that had to travel less than 20 miles to land on their shelves.

My comment regarding kids was that I'd be surprised to see something punitive that was specific to kids. There was an earlier (in the thread) repartee about a specific certification that disallows pouring more than one beer per person at a time--it placed specific restrictions, but was part of reconciliation following an issue/citation at an establishment.

Agree with you that laws often escape reason. The only PA laws that I'm aware regarding minors in bars is that they are permitted as they're under supervision of a parent/guardian; believe they are even allowed to sit at the bar, unless there is a house policy (but that's not law). There's also a Pizza Hut exception, which I'm less familiar with, but that allows minors to enter establishments (where food accounts for >50% sales and alcohol <50%) for the purpose of food--though minors present only under this provision are not allowed to sit at the bar.

Last year, Hollywood Gardens in Rochester got an entire case of Black Note because the owners was good buddies with a local rep. They didn't have a bottle limit and the price was right, so I bought a few. I wonder if it will happen again?

Last I saw it there, Speedway was $30. This was about 18 months ago though. I know because I bought one. VE has it for like 13 or so IIRC.

$14 for stuff like BCBS and Black Note is insane, but the only places that sell beers like this for less are Giant Eagle / Whole Foods. It's ridiculous, but I feel like $14 is about par for the course when it comes to Pittsburgh's bottle shops.

Also, while $40 for BA Gratitude is a high price tag, I don't think it's that bad when you consider it was a brewery only release that sold out pretty quickly. Definitely a nice find if you're an out of towner making a visit.

I won't pay mark on in distro stuff 14 for bcbs is way to high. Most I paid for anything was 9 for kbs this year for a 12oz bottle
