Zwanze Day 2015 at Redlight Redlight

The $5 pre-paid ticket buys you a 4oz pour of the zwanze beer, that's it (I believe they limit it to one ticket purchase per person so you can't buy a bunch). You don't need a ticket to get in and they have a bunch of other good stuff on tap, usually including around 2 or 3 other cantillon beers. They also have bottles of cantillon that they put on sale that day but they're pretty limited and sell out rather quickly. Everything is for sale as normal so you just pay for whatever you want to drink.

 

I wish Zwanze would be held at Mr. Dunderbak's in Tampa

 

Time to reach out to them and their distro partners to see if this is a possibility for next year.

good news is, you get a short drive over the bridge to the Shelton bro's fest a month later.

 

Geez, give us people in Orlando one thing.

 

I'm holding on to this thought to ease the anguish of not attending Zwanze Day ...

 

I only say that cause the food there is awesome and they sell Cantillon and 3F for on-site consumption. Had some Fou last year while eating some Brats/Sausages with some friends, $35 a bottle which is a steal

 

And because the Uber ride home from Mr. D's would be a LOT cheaper than from Orlando!

That said, the food, beer and atmosphere are awesome!

 

heard good things about them! I don't think Cantillon just pulls names out of a hat so if you and some locals want a local Zwanze, might be best to self-start a conversation with them about future opportunities.

 

Haha. I'm just messing with ya. We have so little in Orblando though. The food situation at RLRL does suck though.

$35 a bottle? That is a steal. I believe RLRL was selling Fou last year for $60 or $65.

 

Yeah because you all don't have a ton of breweries or anything Orlando has a better bar scene than Tampa. Makes sense, seeing as we have a serious lack of quality breweries here

Give Orlando this 1 thing ha ha. It's the 1 beer event that I don't have to leave town to attend. Redlight runs this event extremely well every year, so hopefully it'll stay here for years to come. I'm sure there are plenty of reasons that Cantillon chooses this venue over others in FL, I'm not doubting them

 

RLRL just posted on Twitter that pours are sold out and in only 2 days. I'm unable to make it this year, but I remember 2014 and 2013 tickets took quite a bit longer to sell out. In 2013 I'm pretty sure there were still pours available when the doors opened. Hope all BA's that wanted a pour got one!

We will also have bottles of Grand Cru Bruocsella for sell that day as well as many special kegs to enjoy!

 

Can't believe this is the fourth year of Zwanze at RR and my fourth year in a row attending. They always do a great job, great bottles, great drafts, and great bottle shares. The fact that they allow shares is just amazing to me and I applaud them for allowing it. Tip well people, they're really hustling back there and we want to treat them right and make sure they keep allowing the shares ;-)

 

I guess I should have bought 4 tickets.
