    #VBS - Got this as an extra from @singlespeed - and what an extra! 2013 bottle, great mellow roastedness, thick chocolatey mouthfeel. A little burn as it warmed, but before the last few sips you'd never guess it was 13%. Great RIS![​IMG]

    Indeed............had to break it out and DAMN that beer is good. I have plans for Matt's poor momma. @JNForsyth and @PA-Michigander can validate that! The old man has a trick or two up his sleeve............and it helps to have no regard for your cellar or beer you haven't tried........

    Alrightyyyyyyyyy, after some needling about not being in here I am going to do a quick LIF. This LIF will introduce myself to those that don't know me & also allow me to get rid of good beer that I can't drink before leaving Sunday for a work trip in CO.

    I'm Jeff & I live in Kalamazoo, MI so I've already got a couple handshakes ticked from this group & have been in BIF's with many others. I work as a training manager & part of my job is traveling from time to time.
    I am currently in Irving, TX for work & the LIF is to guess how many pieces of clothing that I brought with me for this trip. Some specifics:
    - I got here yesterday (Sunday) & leave Friday night
    - A pair of socks counts as 2 items
    - ...because I brought at least one sock without its match :confused:
    - I've been traveling for work for about 7-8 years so I have plenty of experience packing for trips including internationally
    - My company pays for my flights & baggage

    I will keep this LIF open through the end of Thursday with a plan to drop off the box to my Fedex/Kinkos on Sunday on my way to the airport

    Threw this in the fridge after seeing the reports of infection in 12 DOS. Unfortunately, pretty sure my bottle is infected as well. I don't have much experience with rum barrel aged beers at all nor do I have a frame of reference, but this is incredibly tart -- not sour by any means but definitely not what I would "expect" a rum barrel aged stout to taste like given my experience with... well... stouts and rum. By no means is it undrinkable but I doubt the whole bottle will be finished. Bummer as I was really excited for this one as rum was admittedly my go-to liquor of choice before getting into beer (and still is for the few times I go with anything non-beer)
