Your preferred Double IPA glass

Put me down for the Teku. It does an excellent job of showing up the beautiful appearance of DIPAs. It is properly shaped for aromatics. And it's nucleation points ensure a thin, yet constant head on the beer.

I will make a quick pitch, however, for my Dogfish Head signature glass. Seems like every beer is better out of that glass. It could be better from an aromatics standpoint, but everything else is perfect.

 

pint for everything except barleywine, tripels and quads (which I don't really drink those styles regularly)

 

tulip/teku/snifter

 

Sierra Nevada IPA glass.

 

Beer snifter/nonic pint. I have to say, tulips get a lot of love but I generally don't enjoy drinking out of them. The lip is too much for me sometimes when i just want to relax with a beer.

 

This little guy is my workhorse, don't really know what to call it. I found a couple of them at Homegoods for like $1.50 each. Stable with a heavy bottom, can hold on to the narrow portion without warming the beer much, no precarious stem.

Most of all, I really like the way the vessel itself tapers down. Gives a nice little window at the bottom to show color/sediment/etc, such as a bunch of tasty peach pulp.

 

My Penrose snifter is my only glass. Lots of beers have been shared between us these past few years.

Figured I DON'T need anymore dang glasses, then I drank out of one at the DFH Alehouse...
