With the season changing and all the ocotberfest beers coming out now I was wondering which one is your favorite?

I like bells and great lakes for a more american style octoberfest and Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier for a tradional german syle octo

I'm all like "get these shitty octoberfests off the shelves and bring on the fall/winter imp stouts!"

I don't like the 'American style' at all, and prefer the pale German festbiers over the amber ones. There are some American brewers who do a good job on German style beers, though, so I will be getting a few sixers from them as well. The list for this year seems to be (in order of my personal preference):
    Hofbrau
    Ayinger
    Weihenstephaner
    Sierra Nevada
    Spaten
    Sly Fox

Schlafly really surprised me with their Oktoberfest this year. A very good value as well.

Pretty much what I was going to say...but throw in Victory's Festbier for good measure.

GLBC and Ayinger are definitely my favorites- Weihenstephaner can be OK but I like a little more caramel to my marzens

All good suggestions above. I'll put another vote in for Weihenstaphaner as well. Its similar to the Ayinger, but I prefer the Ayinger a bit more. Still solid though.
