Completely agree. Start with my base list of needed items. Then brainstorm any special items I will need for that particular trip. Followed by pre-packing 2-7 days in advance with check offs on master list. I used to backpack all the time and forgetting a single item, or bringing a single extra item, on a seven day back country trip could be potentially disastrous. I also now travel with a <1 year old, dog and wife who tends to over pack so the skills still come in handy.

There is nothing notable between savannah and HHI. I didn't think it was quite an hour drive, but regardless, it's quite an easy one straight down 95. Made the drive a handful of times way back when I was in college.

Edit: checked on google maps and its 45 minutes, but not on I-95.

    Thats fine.

What bothers me, the security guy calls me at 7:20Am YELLING. I was half asleep, woke my wife up, telling me I had all these warnings? (NONE) and that he was going to call the police. After I got up, had breakfast, I called back and tried to have a civil conversation and the guy from what I know now, was full of shit and had no idea of what he was talking about. Unless I was selling beer, everything he said was false. He kept telling me to "google it". Which I did. He said the next time I have beer shipped to my house, or if any of my neighbors have beer shipped to their homes, he will decide that it belongs to me, and he will have the local police and ATF at my door to arrest me. Than said, he wasn't threatening me, just telling me what would happen next.

Im so close to calling FEDEX corp to talk about the way he dealt with the situation, actually, Im half temped to contact a lawyer, but I don't have a recording of the conversation and its my word vs his, but any lawsuit filed would be a major pain for FEDEX.

This is more like it. Dude is full of shit. Worst* they could do is tax the beer.

*Ok maybe not, but the dude is still a douche. And I'd definitely call corporate.

Right, but he's in Beaufort most of the time, which is an hour north of HHI...

I've taken (according to my travel spreadsheet...) 572 flights in the 6.5 years since I started tracking that sort of thing. And that doesn't include the 8 years I traveled before that where I had the same schedule but didn't track it. I have that shit down to a science  I have, in the past, packed my suitcase while black-out drunk, had someone drive me to the airport, and got to my destination with every single article of clothing that I needed exactly where it was supposed to be and without a thing missing

Why does it take you 10 minutes? That is way too much effort.

That includes folding clothes (I tend to fold a specific way to cut down on wrinkles)... 5 minutes is doable if I'm in a hurry.

We leave on Saturday morning, so hopefully you're not relying on FedEx Home's Saturday delivery.... If not, I guess I'll have some last-minute packing to do!

Oh, and to my target: I hope you don't mind my stretching "local" to include a brewery or two not in my neighborhood but within a hundred miles of me. A friend is travelling West within PA, and I'll be in NJ, before your box goes out; I hope to acquire some treats from each of those trips.

And hell, while I'm at it, a hint: my target does not have anything beer-related in his avatar.

I usually consider with holding pROn a serious offense, so I must have been busy to be guilty of such a crime.

Stopped by @Mipper's place and he game me more beer than I gave him (as always), and hung out with Pizza Boy with @PA-Michigander and he gave me more beer than I gave him (as always), these guys are maniacs.

Now, on to my round se7en box from @mklisz. I've had direct dealings with Mike but I've heard from many Locals about how awesome he is, this box sure didn't disappoint.

    First up, the cans:

Fiddlehead Mastermind - Yes! Big time want!
White Birch Raspberry & Blueberry Berliner Weisse - Cool, fan of berliner's, may take these with me to the beach.
The Alchemist Luscious & Beelzebub - Holy shit!
Night Shift Whirlpool - Another want.

    The small bottles:

Jackie O's BB Dark Apparition - Want, love Jackie O's!
Jacks's Abbey PB&J BA Framinghammer - Been wanting to try one of these, want!
Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett (Leopold Whiskey Barrel) - Sounds awesome, should have been a want.
Smuttlabs Biere De'Shire - Sounds interesting, should have been a want as well.

But wait, there's more! On to the big bottles:

Trillium Headroom & GDH Fort Point - Love Trillium stuff, both big time wants!
Grassroots Brewing Brother Soigne - Big want!
Night Shift Harborside - Always love to try a new Gose.

    Group shot:

Wow Mike, what a crazy box, I am forever in your debt my friend!
