I wouldn't be surprised to see them trickle out either. Release 4-5 cases on a random Wednesday. Then no more for (2) weeks and then another 4-5 cases of something else.

Yeah, I'm going to be broke after this release. 5 variants at AT LEAST $30 each...

I think the allotment is going to be pretty low on some. Like 1 bottle per person on Cognac and Double Choc. Not even sure what will happen with the Pappy, but it will likely be 1 per as well.

I could be wrong, but perhaps one bottle allotments will encourage people actually to drink the beer.

I probably am wrong, but hey, one can hope...

I wondered if allotments would be lower this go around. I've already decided that pappy will be impossible to get but hoping to get a bottle of cognac. It was amazing!

Well for everyone that needs to tick im sure they can have it on tap and then trade the bottles they bought for some stupid ultra premium price if it is in-fact 1PP

I really liked the cognac and actually wanted to like it more than the bourbon, but it's got a little sharpness to it that put the bourbon ahead for me. Coconut reigns supreme anyway

No bottles today, but another variant on tap: Chipotle Cake. I think previously the only time it was released was at the Edmunds Oast Cake event. Solid beer, the smokiness of the chipotles adds nicely to the base beer.

What if there were no bottles and the variants were draft only? Mind...blown.

That would be awesome for those of us who are local, but photos of the labeled bottles have already hit the net and local newspaper so I don't think thats the case.

Who's going to pay $100 + for a bottle. Roll call.

Who said anything about $100+ a bottle? You talking about older variants in the tasting room?

If it was $100 for one bottle, there are folks out there that would buy it. I overheard someone at Wild Wings say variant Mexican Cake bottles were going to be released today - have you guys heard anything on it? I could only hope it's anyday now! All these pics got me itchy

Yes people would buy, but Westbrook wouldn't do that. Haven't heard anything on a release

I would hope they wouldn't! They'd chase away most of us
I'm sure they were just speculating too then

I wouldn't pay $100 a bottle for these , but I'm sure people would. I did once pay $70 at the brewery for a DB Cake '14 off the "bottle list", as a special treat for a friend and I to share after a particularly rough run at work for both of us. Is any bottle of beer worth $70, probably not, but it was delicious and I looked at it the same as buying a nice bottle of wine at a restaurant on a special occasion.

I completely agree with your philosophy on the price and reasoning!
