2nd anniversary ale is in the bourbon barrels! Bottle release is 9/12. Imperial (brown) Biere de Garde.

Some fairly spendy bourbon barrels they're using there. Their bourbon is great though in my opinion.

Man, oh man. The "fun" threads always get nuked. I was enjoying the "chick rant" thread, as it was helping me avoid doing work today. But the fun police nuked it, now I have to come back here and be bored.

Tis' the season of pumpkin beers. While I am not a huge fan, I can drink about one glass of Good Gourd per year and that is my limit of pumpkin. Picked up a 4pk of Whole Hog (which is my girlfriends favorite of the lot). Are there any other "hidden gems" of the pumpkin beer world that you guys would recommend? Anyone try that Ballast Point Pumpkin Scotch Ale? Sounds like a disgusting disaster to me but i'd try it if it was on tap.

Did you end up having a bottle share, @troygreer ? Got some bottles for the next one.

Yeah we did. Had some great bottles.

Hopefully we can have another one soon (before @PSU_Mike heads out to Cranberry)

I like the Aleworks Pumpkin Ale. Its out of distro, but the fact that its from VA is pretty attainable. On the pumpkin note there is no shortage of Pumking (not that there ever was since last years batch was still hanging around places). Was at the Robinson MD yesterday and they have about 200 cases of it between the 2 formats. If that doesnt suit you they have about 60 cases of NYFRB. My how the mighty have fallen.

Ill have to check out Aleworks Pumpkin Ale for sure, thanks!

I think Pumking and Warlock are pretty disgusting. I'd much rather drink NYFRB!

Let me know if you ever want any of their stuff. I may have one of their older bottles sitting around I'd be happy to give you if you let me know when you're coming through town.

Intangible Ales was pouring up at the recent festival at Hill Farmstead and were pouring a beer called Au Ra. From people I know it's an awesome beer. I'm hoping it'll be released 'somewhat soon'.

I appreciate the offer. Do you know if their beers are for sale around Harrisburg anywhere other than at Pizza Boy?

The only other place I've seen it available was at Grain + Verse in New Cumberland, PA but their prices seem really high to me.

I have a bottle of Seasonal Creep from CC that I got as an extra in a trade. Really have no desire to crack it. Any of you pumpkin loving sons a bitches out there have it before?

I am not familiar with this Seasonal Creep, but if there are no takers, I will give it a whirl.

I can never tell if you're sarcastic or not.

But that is my favorite "pumpkin" beer nowadays. I look forward to trying to snag some whenever I'm back in town.

I heard the bourbon isn't that good. Hoping to try a sample of it sometime to make my own opinion.

Did they just put this in barrels? Will it spend all of 2 weeks in barrels prior to 9.12? What's the point!?
