Beer Release (Short's Brew): Sticky Icky Icky

Thanks. Hoping on draft, along with the normal lineup (and possibly some taproom only stuff...haven't looked into how normal that is up that way).

 

Now this is what I'd classify as dank. It almost literally tasted like weed the first couple drinks. Short's just keeps the hits coming. This really needs to make it back next year.

 

God damn. This is tasty.

 

Holy cow, Short's fans. After having it on tap, and now having it out of a bottle, I have to say: get a bottle. Get several. Get comfortable, get your favorite glassware. This is ridiculously good.

 

Couldn't agree more. Loved a lot of their hoppy beers, Huma lupa, superfluid, hopstache, Einstein, mmmkay, and many others. But this takes the cake. Best Shorts IPA and possibly my favorite Shorts beer to date. This should be available every year for a few months! Gatorade like poundability, its so good, when it hits the lips, its so good...

 

Glad to have grabbed a couple six packs today. This is definitely in my top five out of 50+ that I have tried. Thanks for the SW Michigan recommendations!

 

Very sold beer. Reminds me of a more hoppy/dank version of superfluid. One of my favorite IPAs from Shorts, but I think I still favor fresh hopstache and freedom of 78'. If this was available more then once a year I would be soooo happy!

 

But that goes against what I love about Shorts. I love their "every two week" seasonal, because I know I'm getting the freshest product possible. Sticky Icky Icky is great fresh, but if you had it on shelves for 3 months, I doubt you would get the same sentiment from consumers if its 3 months old and hasn't moved from your local liquor store.

 

You pretty much summed up why I love Short's the most out of any MI Brewery

 

Agreed - I may not like it all but I love how they are constantly pumping out new stuff continuously to try.

 

Any chance this sticks around in Grand Rapids until Friday? Heard Siciliano's was already sold out. If not, I'll be stopping through on my way up north from Chicago on Friday. Willing to trade some Chicago locals for a bottle or two. PM me if interested.

 

I totally agree. I love Short's hoppy beers. All of the ones you named are in my Top 10 as well. To me Sticky is right up there with Hopstache and Superfluid.

 

One a my favorites I have tried this year! Great job as usual Short's Brewing!

 

If you're near GR, D Schuler's has 4 cases of this sitting on the floor. Couldn't help but grab another 6. What a great beer - get it while you can!

 

Anyone seen any more of this around metro Detroit?? Looking to scoop up a sixer before its all gone!

I would check Steves in Hamtramck. He gets a larger allotment of Shorts brews and fortunately/unfortunately sits on some for awhile. Was there a month or so ago and he Freedom left even.

 

Echo all the statements above. This is one of the best Short's releases in awhile! Unfortunately, everywhere is sold out already...
