There are separate lines for cans and bottle fills.

Thanks for the heads up HeyHayward! I was there last week during the Julius\Alter Ego Can Release and things were really smooth there. I'm hoping that this occurs again this afternoon.

I've been to Tree House a ton of times and without even thinking about it is my favorite brewery and some of the best beers I have ever had. Will never stop going. With that being said, I do see where some people are coming from on here as far as people complaining about how others choose whether they show up early or not. First, why does it matter when another man shows up to get his beer? Second, I have been noticing an increasing number of rude customers coming to Tree House. While waiting in line, I have seen people make snarky comments to each other comparing their "knowledge" about Tree House. I showed up at about 7:15 last week and walked in and simply asked a guy waiting for his bottle fills what number they were on for fills. He looked at me, laughed and says "Do you even have your bottles with you?". I just smiled and asked someone else. Just something I've been noticing the last few months going.

I agree. Living in Boston, I'd rather show up at 3 and be home by 7:30 as oppose to showing up at 5 and being home by 9. Not everybody is a corporate desk monkey who works 9-5.

I also think the folks who keep all their previous tags on the bottles are bananas. It's like that obnoxious skier who has all their lift tickets on their jacket.

    end of rant.

Sadly, whenever a couple hundred people (or more) congregate in one place for any particluar reason, there are bound to be a couple of complete douche tools in the group.

THANK YOU. The pile of tags on the bottles drive me nuts to no end. Don't know why, it's just super annoying.

Not as bad as calling yourself a "Tree House Llama". I'm still scratching my head over that one.

Ha! That really is he best comparison. It would drive me nuts to have all of those tags on there. I'm curious to see what that looks like in a couple of years though.

You know what irritates me? These damn kids!

When I was 21 at college in that part of the state, I wasn't driving to Monson and trying out fresh delicious beer. I was earning my beer-drinking stripes by pounding PBR and Nattie Light. Kids these days have it so nice. But, very realistically, how are these young bucks affording this?! I had a job and still had to scrounge beer $$.

In all seriousness, I did get a chuckle last time out there. There was this young kid and his buddies drinking Eureka and one of them, (biiiiiiig sniff of the taster) "Hmm ... hops...." (another big sniff) "A little citrus..." (a taste) ... "Wow."

Tree House does hops, you say? Citrus, too?

Any news on the 10k race they were planning for the fall?

No way! I'm glad the younger generation isnt settling for the mediocre. Even if they are using their school loans to buy growlers.

So I was planning to make my first trip to Tree House tomorrow around opening (well, my first one was unsuccessful when I showed up at the old brewery only to find that there was a 3 hour wait for growler fills -- who knew this stuff called Good Morning would bring out such a crowd??). Should I expect this variation of Double Shot to bring out the masses? I'm going to have my severely pregnant wife with me, and I'm not sure I can convince her to wait for more than an hour or so . . . .

Also, given the can allotment that is left and the current limits, is it unlikely that there will be cans tomorrow? I'm wondering whether I should save my trip to Tree House for another day.

I think you'll most likely be okay. This Double Shot is really amazing but none of the beers in the series so far have had anywhere near the demand that Good Morning gets. Also with none of the IPAs on I think there's a good chance the crowds will be smaller than usual.

It's kind of hard to predict whether cans will last or not but Tree House is pretty good about updating what's left in the evening or morning before they open on their On Tap page. On Twitter they seemed to think cans would last the day at least.

agree with this. the other beers on aren't the super in demand ones so I don't think the crowds will be massive. still I think show up in the mid-afternoon and you'll be much safer

Not so sure cans will last through the night. At 6pp there's only enough Eureka for 300 and MA for 360. I'm ballparking 200-300 through the door tonight, leaving limits at 2pp tomorrow if you're lucky. Or maybe they've got something up their sleeve and will be canning in the morning? But I doubt it.

Thanks for the insight guys. I'm driving up from New Haven and have a family event halfway between Worchester and Boston that I have to attend at 3. I was thinking we'd try to get to the brewery a half hour or so before opening, hopefully have beer in hand by 11:30 or so, and then head over to Worchester for lunch, with a stop at Julio's along the way. Does this sound realistic? From what I'm reading on here, it sounds like it's actually slower on Saturdays more midafternoon, but that may not work for me given my 3pm commitment.
