I can't believe this only gets a 3.6 on Untappd. Debated between 4 and 4.25 to be honest.

 

Yeah man thought the same thing. Very solid IPA. Especially fresh. They have a couple beer I enjoy, that being one of them and their first bottle which was earlier this year a BA Golden called Reintarnation. Prodigal is their first can they put out a couple months ago. Definitley a goto this summer. Glad you enjoyed!!

There have been beers on untappd that have surprised me in both directions. Can't remember any off the top of my head and it hasn't been many as usually I end up rating right around the average (I make every effort not to look at the average the first time I'm ticking something) but a few things have caught me off guard in the past

I certainly agree. Normally I'm writhing .15 of the Untappd rating but occasionally there's some outliers.

Also worth noting, I always drink the beer I'm rating, or at least half of it, create my own rating and check it in with that rating regardless of BA/Untappd rating. The one upside to BAs new rating system is I no longer need to rationalize my ratings which are under the BA average.

 

Just checked and at least on BA it gets a 3.91 which makes me feel better with all in the world

 

Yes it has!! Somehow I overlooked it coming in. I had my early detection devices set up but somehow I missed the air raid sirens even though they were blaring loudly. Once I finally realized what the box was I couldn't wait to get it opened. The contents just added to the happiness. On to the prOnz....

I will post the next signup period for the Horizontalhood on Sunday. Good timing since a "local" brewery is releasing a pretty sought after beer this weekend.
