I paid $70 for a bottle of 2010 Baladin Xyauyu Gold at a bar, and gladly. But that's a $40 retail bottle. $70 for Cake? Pass.

Some dude bought the '13 BA set for $150 each at the brewery, $450 total for THREE BOTTLES and had to drink them on site. One born every minute I guess.

I paid the $40 for a Coffee Cake since we were there and they had no cakes on tap and my friends wanted to try it. We split it up 4 ways so it wasn't as terrible. I almost traded for a Coffee Cake and by the time I sent my $25 bottle + extras + shipping, I would have been out over $40 anyways. I did see the super expensive BA vintages and laughed.

We also got a Apple Brandy Trippel that was really good as well. It was only $20 I think for the 750ml on premise.

I will say prices are reasonable to all on site bottle except cake which are just priced through the roof

Oh I get it, but I just don't get why a brewery would do it. I mean I do, but eh...

Does everyone silently laugh and watch that person drink all three bottles?

I don't get that judgement in this thread, do you think this guy cared what you where drinking? It's simple he had the money and wanted to try the set, good for him they are delicious.

Just to set the record straight no 1 person bought all 3 bottles. 3 people bought a bottle a piece and were kind enough to share. Sorry you weren't included.

No BA bottles again today - my brother was just in to check for me. I'll be in IoP next week so I'll be checking at 4 everyday. I'm not too hopeful on bottles, but hopefully I can get away with a BA growler or two for sharing next weekend in PA.

They don't do growler fills on cake or variants.

Who cares if they paid 450 for the 2013 set? I am contemplating it...

I also have heard that some of the variants will be quite pricey this year. And I am sure they won't have any problem selling them.

If they price the Pappy variant at $50 a bottle and limit it to 1 bottle per person, it will still sell out 20 minutes before it goes on sale.
