Ballast Point Porter. Yum, yum. I had a few last night and am back for more.

It seems the hipsters that live nearby really are taking over, my DM has run out of all the Ballast Point now. I went in there and only 5 of the porters were left. :slight_frown:

    I took them all, obviously.

P.S Mr K, are you back home now? I have things to send you.

Hipsters taking over...have you moved to Melbourne?

Still away, but back in a week, so would be cool to send now, thanks!

would certainly help us all tick off another style. They certainly helped me tick off the Gose since I couldn't get to Leipzig to try a German-made one.

As much as i love feral... Was hose the gose typical of a traditional gose? I was expecting to taste some salt. One of the german breweries that still brews gose will ship to aus for about $55 per bottle, but the test-tube thin neck on the bottle has scared me off

Nothing at the moment due to work. Damn. Curse of the drinking classes and all that. When I get home however, Meantime Naval College Porter. I can't wait.

On a side note, W.A BAs, any advice on getting to and from Feral next Sat for our dinner? I obviously don't want to drive. I'm in Bassendean, anyone up for cab sharing? Or any better ideas?

Thanks anyway for the offer! Mulder1010 may have it sorted, and if not I'll get it when I'm in the US in 5 years or so!

I haven't moved to Melbourne, we get our own very special kind here. I will stop describing them before I launch into another one of my right-wing rants/fantasies though. Suffice to say it involves myself and Lukie on the back of a pick-up truck manning a machine gun taking out all those in too tight pants.

Anyhoo, I will hold off until mid-week. My delivery guy is pretty good and can usually get it out in 3-4 days. Cheaper then Oz Post too, surprisingly.

Starting with a Beer Here Hop Fix. Quite nice really. Still tossing up what to go with next. May hit the Sticky Figgy then I think I've got something Belgian lying around.

    Welcome Mr Plastercasts.

We're a friendly bunch, except for Lukie (he's poison  ), just a bit acerbic.

You shouldn't talk about your lady friends like that. Tsk Tsk.

Oh, should probably stay on topic at least once, Meantime Scotch Ale. Should be interesting. I'm not usually into Scotch Ales. I only got it because I liked what it came in, much like Mistress Mordecia actually.

Fair point. I'm out of growlers now. I'm too scared to ask my contact at Colonial for more free ones. I've already dished out 6 in the last 6 months and I think only one of them had a Colonial product in it.

I will get some fresh Hop Hog then (or do you prefer the Sorachi Ace?) and send it with what's owed to Mr K. What t-shirt size would he be? I want to send one of those too.

The Figgy was good. The De Struise St Amatus I followed up with was phenominal. That is one sexy beer once it hits your lips.

Wow you West Coast guys make it sound like Feral is in another State.

On topic; Tonight I drank a slew of Mikkeller single hops. In fact, I finished off my stash. Mixed in there was Nogne O Cognac Barreled Imperial Stout (pretty good). Now I find myself drinking Bigfoot. Tomorrow will be interesting (well, certainly more interesting than it would otherwise be seeing as I'm at uni).
