Anyone have an idea about what a 1/6 barrel should cost (or if it's reasonable to try to get one)? I'm planning to have a small kegerator up and running at some point this month, and though it'll mostly be for homebrew, I'd love to have fresh FBS on tap in my living room :grinning:

ISO:abraxel's address. Haha Idk if I'd drive out to Ann Arbor just for tapped FBS but it does sound tempting

A truly wonderful and easy drinking coffee stout. I just found out that New Hampshire has Founders available. I won't have to travel to Mass and Maine anymore. Won't have to pay for the deposit and those pesky sales taxes. Today is a great day! Did I mention that it is probably my favorite brewery.

Do they need to produce more? I thought FBS hung around shelves for months and months.

Seriously considering saving money to get a case of this.

And I hardly EVER buy beer by the case.

I am pretty much guaranteeing you, he was confused. There was a thread or blog, can't remember which, where Founders said they had no current plans to bottle CBS again, but IF they did, it wouldn't be this year. Again this is by memory, so if anyone knows more, feel free to correct me.

I wasn't aware they bottled this once a year. I swear it's on the shelf at the local beer stores.

You aren't the only one...but I prefer my Cerise with about a year on it. Becomes less sweet with some extra tart and bitterness...more balanced IMO.

*I found this out because I went to pick up a pack after this year's release (in Indy) and it wasn't until I was at the counter that I found out it was a year old. I was too lazy/curious to go to the back of the store for a pack out of the new case. Nice mistake...(EDIT: but that may be a hint as to why they may 86 it.)

It is a seasonal, the bottle it a few times through out the season. Like many seasonals, distributors find magically appearing cases in the back, stores find them buried under Bud Light or hold on to it for whatever reason. I have not seen any in a while, have not really looked either. If it is around it probably has not been on shelves the whole time, it does move pretty fast.

On the CBS side of things, I think it is a bit optimistic to expect CBS this year or anytime soon. They have not repeated a Backstage Series beer yet, I would expect a few more new ones to roll through before we see them revisit previous runs. I would be fine if CBS was never bottled again so long as we get Black Biscuit.

Well I want to go ahead and get a case, and last year I had to scrounge around at several different stores to get my first case as they all had 2 4pk limits. After the next wave hit there was plenty though and I got my other whole case. So yes at first around here it was a little hard to come by( in bulk, mind you).

This stuff doesn't last more than a few weeks around here (St. Louis) before it's gone.

How much does a 4 pack usually run you? $12ish?

We just started getting Founders here in Maine back in June. I can't wait to finally try this one and it could very well be the first beer I buy a case of.

Chuck's in Bowling Green, KY. has Founders Imperial Stout for $129 so I'd imagine FBS would be a bit less.
