@FreetailBrewing I agree on all your notes above.
    • Bottle sales at 11:00 would have been great. Luckily the dominoes killed some time. Crushing whalez from 8-12 isn't as fun as it sounds.
    • Beer station(s) to try the new beers before leaving would have been great. We were in the early groups and it just didn't make sense to wait until the bottle sales were complete to get a pint.
    • Turn the music off or get a better method to make announcements. The megaphone didn't project over the noise of the crowd and the music coming through the speakers.
    • Maybe print some sheets with the bottle limit of the beers available once the numbers are known. Once again it was hard to hear what you said and I'm sure the people running the registers had to repeat it a hundred times.
    • Tweak the order pickup / boxing area. That seemed to be the bottleneck and there was a group still huddled around the area... not sure if they were in line or what.
Thanks again for a great event!

Any of the releases still on tap? Any bottles for sale still? I have the next two days off and might just drive down from DFW to spend a day in SA if so

My question is similar to my Dayman doppleganger. Will be doing Schlitterbahn this weekend and I really want to try all 4 of the releases...I know, good luck...but was hoping to sneak into SA and snag at least a bottle or two of the Bexarliner if nothing else.

Anybody have a suggestion or interested in a trade. Will put in Charlie work for beer.

SMABRD was my first trip to Freetail. I'll be back many more times, especially hearing a few more details about Dia de la Muerta. Scott was an outstanding host. The Freetail staff were awesome. Everyone at the share was generous with their beers. The tacos were pretty damn good, as well.

All of the suggestions @FreetailBrewing made sound good to me. Look forward to a great release/bottle share getting even better.

Everything was awesome to be honest except for space.

I personally wish we had more space to set up, we could barely move trying to be next to a table.

When you say brewery only, does that mean the variants will be on tap only at the brewery, or that bottles will only be available at the brewery. Either way, congratulations on what will no doubt be the best Dia de La Muerta ever.

Hey guys, bottles of Peach Bexarliner and Komorebi are being delivered to the brewpub today, they'll get some kegs later this week.

All 4 beers are still on tap at the S Presa brewery (open Thursdays & Fridays 4-9 and Saturdays 2-9) and we will have bottles of everything except for #WHALEZBRO.

Definitely agree with you there. I think we can carve out a really significant amount of space in the brewery for Dia De La Muerta that will still be comfortable. So wee'll see how that goes!

Brewery only for the variants meaning bottles and draft only at the brewery, no distribution, not even to our brewpub.

I knew my plan to stay in SA this Thursday night would be a good one. Will bike on over to S Presa after work.

I need to make that trip to the new facility one of the days. For sure for Dia de la Muerta, but hopefully before. Because more is better.

I regret not buying the full amount of Peach Bexarliner, that beer is fantastic!

I suggest bottle share on the roof next time, but only sharing beers that can be shotgunned

    - cash *strongly encouraged*
    - use the open brewery area for distribution
    - sell bottles earlier (11a), or hand out wristbands later (9a)
    - sell bottles at open with a set limit, open up the rest for sale at 12p.

with that said, everything went smoothly, luckily i was in the B group, got the bottles relatively quickly and was on my way to hot joy for lunch. my buddy russell showed up to hot joy a while later when i was already finishing up. ill always ask for a cash line

Just a heads up for those who have bottles of Walezbro 2015... I had a bottle storing at room temperature that exploded tonight off my beer shelf. It separated from the bottom of the bottle into two clean pieces. I also have a buddy that this happened to a few weeks back.

If you have a bottle, you may want to consider putting it in a fridge to prevent this type of explosion!

If this happens to anyone, I'm also happy to replace bottles like-for-like while supplies last (we held back a few cases), and I will make it up with similar value if we don't have any other #Whalezbro. We bottled conditioned these and it would appear that maybe there is a little more activity going on that we would like.
