So I am headed to SD for a mini vacation from the 10-16th and I am wondering if it is worth it to pack some headys and hill farmstead to bring with me?

It definitely can't hurt! I'm sure you will be able to find someone to take them off your hands. If I was going to be in town I would definitely hit you up.

Depends what you mean by worth it. I am sure it would be easy to line up some IP trades if that's what you are looking for.

Alesmith employees (and basically any brewery employee) always appreciate some out of state beers coming their way. That being said, yeah, I could do an IP for some of that east coast goodness.

Don't worry, as a tourist you won't ever end up out his way anyways unless you got really really really drunk or somehow thought visiting the eastern part of SD county would be a good idea (hint...it usually isn't, unless you are going to Alpine).

    alpine

I would add Alesmith & Ballast (literally a short walk between new alesmith observation room and ballast miramar)

Also would add Societe & Council, and then one of the Pizza Ports. My preference is the solana beach pizza port location, but I think more would direct you to the Ocean Beach location.

But it all really depends on where you will happen to be staying and how feasible it would be to get to all of these locations for you and your schedule. Take a look at the visiting thread for better info about the groupings of breweries and what the general consensus is about which ones to not miss assuming you have the time/energy.
