I am curious to hear the top 3 frustrations with wild/sour ales (both domestic and international). IMHO, I would say:
    1. Availability - most of my favorite examples are extremely limited
    2. Style inconsistency - styles/descriptions are vague and there is often little consistency among breweries
    3. Price - always hard to swallow $20+ per bottle

    1. Price
    2. Unintentional sours that aren't great but still costs $20
    3. People thinking that Lambics are sours

Just one for me. They all sort of taste like vinegar.

My issue is price, but I understand why it needs to be priced the way it is.

Oh, I have a second issue. Bad sours that are as expensive as the good ones, but this is a problem with any beer.

    1. Not as fun and easy to drink as other styles (it can feel like homework, especially when taking notes/writing a review)

    That's my only qualm.

    1. Many sours/wilds are becoming a competition of lowest ph
    2. Fruited sours/wilds tend to be one dimensional just sour and fruit zero complexity.
    3. Price points have gone through the roof.

    1. It's not an IPA;
    2. See above; and
    3. See above.

All BS aside, I like sours. I just don't review them because it isn't in keeping with the Hunter's mantra. I have to keep up appearances, after all. Larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge.

"Sour" is a taste bud sensation, not a style of beer.
    Lambics almost always "taste sour."
    Therefore, lambics are "sours."

Thanks goodness I don't like sours. I spend enough on beer already.

Pricing and availability are the obvious ones.
I think varying quality is #2. I don't care what kind of pain in the ass the brewer had with it - some genuinely aren't good. Some are full-on amazing. I don't know how many brewers and buyers know the difference.

1 - Descriptions - "wild ale with fruit aged in barrels" what fruit, what barrels, give me something....
2 - Price Consistency - why does one brewery charge $15 for a bomber and another $22 when they are both described as the same type of beer. Price point is too vague for me as this category is all over the board for pricing.
3 - Age beer after purchase - wait I bought the beer and now I have to age it?!?

    1. High PH level. I have a limit on how much sour I can consume
    2. Overrated. It's the in style right now
    3. 375/500ml bottles. I prefer full bombers.

    1) Sour/wild encompasses way too much territory in practice
    2) The sheer amount of mediocre sours
    3) The price (though I understand why)

One frustration of mine from a bar/pub stand point is how bartenders lump everything under sours - farmhouse ales, 100% brett beers, gueuze, berliner weisse, gose, etc.
