Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

Chicones had a bunch back right corner.

 

God dang, I am dumb.. I meant September 1st.

 

I'm coming down to the Twin Cities on Tuesday and staying until the weekend. France 44 had bottles of the southern tier chocolate orange beer, but they're sold out now. Does anyone have a lead on where I could snag one?

Did we see Bell's The Wild One in stores here? I kind of remember hearing about it a month or so back... am I crazy?

 

I think they sent quite a few kegs of it out recently. It was on at Keyport in Duluth and I saw it at a few places on tap in the U.P. of Michigan in early July. I don't think it has been bottled in quite a while though. Wonderful beer though. One of Bell's best in my opinion.

 

G-Will in Lino Lakes still has a rail full of Todd the Axeman, 07/21 canning date. They also had quite a few bottles of 1349 black ale and the 2015 pentagram left.

 

Looks like Surly Fest is dropping in Iowa right now. Has this dropped anywhere in MN? If it hasn't this is just another example of how terrible the Surly distributor is in MN.

Saw that MGM Eagan and Vinifera tweeted yesterday that they had it.

 

Surlyfest was out at Byerly's GV last night when I was there. I think those who like a more traditional Oktoberfest beer will enjoy it a lot. I was hopeful that it would be more akin to what it was a couple of years ago when it was much hoppier. But that's just my own personal bias.

 

Surlyfest also at MGM Maple Grove. they also had CW BR scotch ale.

Closest to Minneapolis someone has recently seen PsuedoSue 8/10 bottle date and or Todd? Willing to make a small drive if needed but don't wanna have to go THAT far. I've got a friend in town from Connecticut that would live to bring some home

 

Thursday I got some 8/10 Sue from Red Lion Liquors in Burnsville. I didn't see any Todd. I live south of there and work in downtown Mpls so my definition of small drive may be different.

 

Found 8/10 Sue at the St. Anthony Village muni on Hwy 88. Just outside of NE Minneapolis.

 

Heritage has Steel Toe Lunker.

 

It's September, which means I'm ready for some Founders Breakfast Stout. Has anyone seen it yet in the Twin Cities?

 

I think the brewery had is as of a couple weeks ago, they still might

 

Guessing they still had enough left over that they sent some out to distro.

 

I live a few hundred miles north of the cities and it's on shelves up here already. Tasting phenomenal as usual. I always forget what a treat it is when it's fresh. I'm sure it's on shelves down there by now.
