If I could "Like" this post 1000 more times, I would in a heartbeat.

I wonder how many times people try the taster and really can't tell where it was brewed.

Probably more often than people would like to admit. I have my (well-discussed) issues with GF and the policies they've set forth, but it's not like Alpine had a flawless track record on their own. If people blind-filled growlers before the buyout, great, but getting a taster before you fill a growler should be automatic for almost any beer, especially hoppy beers.

Just got back from checking out the new pub and I will say the french fries are different for sure. I think GF must have installed new deep fryers, which with different oil capacities, really throws off the crispness.

Needless to say I won't be back.

I don't think GF has anything to do with the food end of the pub.

I could see the scenario after buying my bottle allotment, asking for a taster and deciding not to get a growler fill, having my bottles taken back with a "NO BEER FOR YOU!!"

In the old days, that probably would have happened. In fact, I'm pretty sure that after one my smart alek remarks I was told "come back in one week!" That doesn't seem to be appreciated behavior by the GF powers that be, though.

I know, I was being facetious.

The whole debate is just kinda funny to me. Are the Alpine brewed beers awesome? Yes. Are the GF brewed versions awesome as well? Yes.

I did just get back from the new pub though and thought it was very nice and the outdoor space was pretty cool.

Take it for what it's worth, but I've been told by the servers that GF does actually have a say in the food.

You have to be used to that by now though.

Hey guys, Ive been reading through this thread as I want to post an ISO in the next day or two, but still had a few questions I was hoping you could answer for me. Thanks in advance.

    1) It looks like bottles are still brewed by Alpine. Is that correct? Same location?
    2) Is the GF brewed beers going to start being distributed in GF markets? We actually get GF in Oklahoma.
    3) Is there a way to see which bottles are currently available or coming soon at Alpine?

For #2, yes. It's already being distributed in some states. I know for Virginia, they are already getting kegs.

Ah yes, I figured he meant bottles since that was what the first question was about. I know Texas has received GF Alpine already as well for whatever it's worth.

Bottles are one thing, kegs are another. I would just try it first and if you like it, get it.
