Every year. The whole month is probably my favorite time of year in RI, what with Oktoberfest in Pawtucket at the German American social club, craft nights all over the state, and Beervana to cap it off. Can't wait!

Will likely attend as well! Needed by DD last year, that is for sure! Too many to taste.

What I typically do is wait for a local radio station to do a half off deal (usually 2-3 weeks before) and see if I can get in on around 50 $25 tickets, if not then I purchase for full price. Although this year I may not have the patience...

Ticket bought. This fest is awesome between the world class brewers/beers and the somewhat limited number of tickets. This event gets a lot of 'fest only' beers too! I would expect this to sell out, especially once the official list is released.

Got my ticket. My favorite fest. This will be my third. I'll need a hotel for this on as I moved to upstate NY. Any recommendations?

Always the best beer event in the state by far. This will be #4 for me. The best part is there is a good mix of nerds and average craft drinkers allowing the nerds like us to get all the specific timed pours without too much hassle. Two years ago I got multiple pours of Lou Pepe Framboise because the whole room was lined up for Sam Adams Utopias. The only bad thing about this year is I won't be able to go to Track 84 afterwards! Boooo!

That Lou Pepe Framboise was my favorite beer from that fest. Wish I could have gotten my hands on a bottle since then.

I wonder if you could call around and find a hotel willing to shuttle you there and back to save cab or Uber fare. (Most hotels around have airport shuttles anyway.)

If you are looking downtown Providence and have the cash, I like the Hilton next to the Dunkin Donuts Center (stayed there for a wedding). Otherwise the airport area is the most economical. Family visiting me have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn Express on Jefferson Blvd in Warwick and seemed to like either of those spots. Iron Works Tavern is attached to the HGI and they have some decent food.

Also, if you stay at the Holiday Inn express on Jefferson Blvd, you could go to Doherty's Ale House afterwards and drink even more!

Drink even more? Don't think so. I'm in line when the doors open and I'm gone by 8:30. Might be different if I have a hotel and ride though...

Do they release any kind of beer or brewer line-up for the fest? The website only listed Dogfish Head.

They will release a list in the weeks leading up to the festival. Typically pretty comprehensive. Sometimes there are some surprises. Most heavy hitter beers are specific time pours. Although last year Firestone Walker was pouring Parabola the entire night. It's one of the best run festivals I have attended.

Actually surprised that we haven't seen the beer lineup. Usually it is up well in advance of now. I keep waiting to see what will be there... and waiting... and waiting...

It came out aggressively late last year.

I may be misremembering then.... and I would stand corrected.

Also... love "aggressively late" as a term. Going to have to keep that in the lexicon.

The year before last it was out very early. That may be what you are remembering.
