That is great. Nice to see some good people buck the trend.

Staying the night in Madison. May not have time to make it to NG. Does anyone know of Spotted Cow is on the shelf anywhere? My brother says he loved that beer but I've never had it.

    Cheers!

You should be able to walk into any Woodman's or liquor store and find some Spotted Cow. Its pretty much everywhere

I'm not certain but I believe based on empirical evidence that it is a requirement for any establishment that is permitted to sell alcohol in WI to offer Spotted Cow for sale.

Beer schedule updated for September. Still no new Thumbprint listed. Hoping they come out with something new in October.

Pumpkin Pie Lust is on the Seasonal Beer page, but not the Beer Schedule page. Let's hope a Thumbprint is added as they finalize things on the site.

Did NG discontinue Fat Squirrel? My parents came to Ohio to visit last weekend and brought me a few cases of NG beer, one of which was a sampler pack and I was kind of bummed to see the sampler no longer has Fat Squirrel. It has this new beer in it called, "Yokel". Im sure its good, Im just kind of bummed they dont make Fat Squirrel anymore.

Yokel isn't new. It's been around for a couple years, and I think it was around years before that (it took a hiatus). Incidentally, it's beyond delicious. Honestly it's one of my favorite NG beers.

Far Squirrel is no longer a year-round release but a seasonal. It should be out soon.

Wasn't Pumpkin Pie Lust made without pumpkins last year? It relied on the other ingredients to mimic a "pumpkin" taste? Their description on Instagram says they used Wisconsin pumpkins in the brew this year.

No, it was brewed with pumpkin but without spices, relying on the wheat and yeast esters to give that spicy sort of flavor.

Gotcha. I knew there was something that wasn't used.

Did they even use pumpkins last year? The description never mentioned them anywhere.

FWIW, Fat Squirrel is not listed on their seasonal page, its on their "Beers We Have Known and Loved" page, which has me really worried. Fat Squirrel is my favorite Brown Ale (drinking a Bell's Best right now, and its really not), I'll be bummed if Fat Squirrel is retired.

Yeah, I stand corrected. Interesting and depressing stuff. I'm guessing it wasn't a big seller, but that beer was made for Autumn. Shame if it's really gone, especially if Pumpkin Pie Lust is taking its place...
