So, anybody heard any innuendo or juicy rumors about when Citra is being released? I'd settle for a creative prevarication.

My previous check ins on untappd:
May (FWIBF, 2015) -> February (bottles) -> August (bottles) -> March (bottles) -> late October (bottles, 2013)

 

I believe last year November. So it'll probably be the same. But will the new brewery be open and ready for Citra and others?

 

They normally brew it for GABF (are they there this year?) and put it on at the brewery around that time. But yeah, last fall bottle release was November.

 

Tentatively setting the next Citra release for November 13-22. We will probably nail down the details in the next couple of weeks and start the lottery process. Obviously it will still be brewed on the pub system since the new brewery won't be ready yet, meaning that we will still be limited to about 170 cases. We will be brewing an extra 7 bbl batch for draft only and have a barrel of Class X stashed for the occasion as well. Hopefully construction will be far enough along by the Citra release that we should be able to at least give a few tours of the new place.

We do not have a booth at GABF this year.

They are not at GABF this year. So I doubt any was brewed for GABF.

 

I too am on a losing streak. The more that enter, the harder it is. A few batches back the odds were said to be roughly 1:3. Which really, that isn't bad. Last batch I heard was closer to 1:5. I can definately attest to that, our whole group of 7 people got shut out. With odds getting harder, I don't "expect" to win. I'll just be elated if I do

 

I've been shut out the last 2 times I tried. And thats with 4 of us entering. Actually, my niece won but could not go due to work. So the wife and I drove up overnight and I enjoyed as much Citra as I could drink. Worth it? Hell yea. And we'll be doing the same thing come November. Even if we don't win. Class X!! Hell yea.

Yup. Win, lose or draw, I am looking forward to a triumphant return to KRBC this Nov. for the release.

 

I'd like to see Citra hit distribution in Southern California, never seen it down here, I've seen Just Outstanding, Class V, Isabella Blond, and Sequoia Red but no Citra.

 

Yea. Back in the day day we saw Citra on the shelf/cooler. But that was only once or twice then it stopped.

 

Apparently, distribution to Fresno is starting! The first case of Just Outstanding, bottled yesterday, was delivered to The Fort today. Fantastic news, and long awaited.

 

My brother works there, he grabbed a bottle for us to open tonight already. Looks like Maroa Shell just posted about getting some as well.
