Founders relabels Breakfast Stout

Hmmm, independent of the picture, never registered would be a pretty big no-no and probably will cost them some discomfort.

 

Already on shelves in North Dakota. Original label. Bottled 8/17/2015.

 

That situation would cause discomfort on both sides, no?

 

Actually, I'd expect the bureaucrats to do something along the lines of the picture used as my Avatar photo. "Not my Job" to monitor and remind every brewery of the laws they are expected to follow.

Pretty sure I saw on Twitter or Facebook that the only states getting the new label are ones that restrict the original. All the rest of us in America (not communist Russia - ) will get the original label.

 

Just picked up a couple of 4 packs in Maine with the original baby label.

Haven't seen any in NH yet.

It'd be worth picking up the 4 pack to drink, but it will still have the baby-faced production in other states.

 

Does this mean the old label bottles have high trade value?

 

Per the article cited above (http://www.mlive.com/business/west-michigan/index.ssf/2015/08/breakfast_stout_label_michigan.html), "Company co-founder Dave Engbers said Michigan is the only state where Breakfast Stout will be distributed with the new label." So I'm guessing no to your question.

 

Ahhhh. I was mostly joking though.

 

It's on tap now at the brewery, just picked up a growler. I can't wait, one of my all time favorite beers.

 

Sorry missed that I'm originally from MI, born and raised, and actually had a friend of mine ask me that exact same question. Unfortunately he was serious.
