@beace when you see an old guy with a crazy handle bar mustache come in around 4pm today, tell him his son says thanks!

Well, not exactly, there are a few cases being sent to Jackie O's events around the state. One at La Cave du Vin in Cleveland in September and some will make an appearance during Cleveland Beer Week! But I think special events only and likely on premise only too!

Sleeper beer of the year had it on draft today definitely up there if not better than black maple IMO

Just had the Champion. No surprsies here at this point, it is fantastic. Here are my typed out (mostly sober) thoughts.

Here is how my Jackie O's rankings go so far also (not that anyone asked)

    1) BBBM (anything with maple is going straight to the top:grinning:)
    2) Oro
    3) Champion
    4) Wood Burner (this one seems to be a sleeper for. Nobody ever asks about it?)
    5) Bourbon Oil

When I sit back and look at that list and think about how Dark App (any version), Oil, Rum Oil, Bourbon Brick, Waka, Madala, etc. are not amongst them, it is mind blowing. Great work down there @beace !

No back to hiding money under my mattress for next month:wink:

If it's not a BA stout, sour, or IPA, most craft beer nerds have little to no interest.

Very true. Off subject, but that is why I am glad to see Sierra Nevada making some lagers. Great ones at that

True. But...it is a BB stout.

My fault, I misread that for Wood Ya Honey for some reason.

I think the lack of interest is likely due to concerns for the smoke, at least it was mine. Most smoked porters, stouts are usually overly smoky but after I tried it, I was very impressed.

I'd agree..smoke is there on wood burner but hardly overpowers the roastiness and barrel. Pretty sad I didn't have a chance to get some champion.

Drove from Cleveland to the Taproom today. Confirmed mini-dachshund friendly. Confirmed Oro & Champion Ground in stock. Confirmed goddamn amazing people from front to back at the brewery, nothing but smiles and happy dudes! I can't wait to go back.

I'm a huge fan of that one, but a lot of people I know hate on wheat beers..

Good point. I have really disliked most smoked beers I have had, which makes me feel weird and die a little inside.
