What porch? Because of you I have permanent damage and have *caution tape* officially wrapped around the back of my house to where my porch "used to be". Oh yeah, thanks to you I've also had to purchase the above for our delivery guy *Mr. Hurts*. No worries, he's officially on his way to a full recovery. Your next on my list! Cheers!

Stopped at Tired Hands today, unfortunately didn't see any locals there

But I had the Mosaic Mango whatever IPA and The Light That Spills Out From The Hole In Your Head (or something along those lines), and I felt the first was very good and the second was good but not as good. Got two growlers to go... can't wait to tear into those in the next couple days (as long as they don't explode)

Still catching up on the thread from vacation (hopefully tomorrow), but had the Firestone Walker tasting today and since the people in this thread were such a big part, I wanted to post some pics.

Everyone there had so much fun, drank so much awesome beer, and its all due to you guys (okay, there was a total of one bottle that I found retail in my travels that I didn't trade for). Received so many questions today on 'How did you end up with all of this?' and it was evident that no one in the group has trade partners as awesome as the Locals!

My favorite were 18th Anniversary, Bretta Rose, and Sour Opal (though that discounts Parabola, which was probably my favorite overall, but I've had a time or two before so didn't 'surprise' me). Others favorites included Maltose Falcons, 2013 Velvet Merkin, 2014 Parabola, and honestly there was someone arguing for why each beer was there favorite...

That's me at the front of the table sitting next to the cooler and sea of boxes. This was at the halfway point (right before we broke for snacks), so people were mostly sober still.

Thanks again to everyone that helped make this a success! That includes @PG2G, @Devman171, @UcDru, and @Clarkson. If I forgot anyone, I really apologize! I hadn't had most of these beers before and they were ofkf the chain ridiculously good!

 

That looks like an awesome time... but I must ask... was this share taking place at a bottle shop?

 

It was. They're closed on Sundays, which is when we usually have our bottle shares. The owner of the bottle shop is on the other end of the table.

Sorry I missed meeting up, was a pretty crazy day around here even if my cell hadn't gone on the fritz. Time/money constraints not withstanding, my recommendation for visiting Tired Hands is to do 4oz pours to get a wider selection of what they have; I always shoot for a 4oz pour of every beer either location has that I haven't had before. Next time for sure I'll meet you down there and we'll make sure you get to try more options before deciding on growlers.
