Anybody have any news about this beer? Is it delicious? Is it pretty hard to come by? Landed one to drink, and wasn't sure if I should pick up more for trading ammo. I don't see too much about High Water releases in the forums. Thanks guys! cheers!

No, I don't know and I don't know. But I'd suggest trying it for yourself, and you be the judge.

    Here's what their blog says:

    "
You asked for it and we made it happen!!
Sugaree is back and available in 22 oz bombers
as well as draft. Initially released as a one-off
Tributary Series beer, Sugaree was so well received
we had to move it into full scale production. The
only downside is that all the cases sold out to our
distributors in the first hour of release... Don't fear,
we have added another production batch, which will be
all packaged in bottles, so more will be on the way.
Vermont Maple Sugar (from our friends at Butternut Farms
in Morrisvile, VT), Bourbon soaked Oak chips from a
great source in Kentucky and a selection of wonderful caramel,
crystal and chocolate malted barley from England with
    Japanese pecan.
Truly a beer to fill your pie hole.
    9.8% ABV Enjoy..."

So my guess is it's slightly limited but they're making (or made?) more. High Water doesn't strike me as a brewery that wants to limit availability of anything. The stuff is pretty widely distributed (we got their sour beer which was "limited" up in Washington and it sat on shelves due to the price point). And while all of their stuff is at least good, some VERY good, there's no name brand or demand. So ... no, I don't see there being any real "trade value" though I'm sure many folks would appreciate it as expansion or a really nice extra.

What a wonderful find today. Seems like anything with Maple and bourbon is always hard to get or expensive. This stuff tasted like pecan pralines with maple, vanilla and bourbon and was only $10 for a bomber, ill be buying more for sure. Only complaint was a thin mouthfeel but still a really enjoyable brew that bests most of the seasonal offerings.

Ad circulars are generally for the entire chain. At the very least, it must be for all of California.

    Good luck! It rocks!

BTW, I think HW is still making their beer at Drake's. Maybe check there??
