Just saw Ballast point post: "We always dig when new tanks arrive...maybe we will have enough beer for Michigan or Kentucky or our friends in Indiana"

Think this means those states are going to start having access to Ballast Point?

Haven't heard anything for sure, but Ballast Point's Bloody Mary Mix (which is very good) is in Kentucky.

KY might be in their plans but no announcement yet. I would imagine news will leak while they are interviewing distributors.

I hope they come to Tennessee. Just went to Georgia earlier this week to load up on Sculpin, GF Sculpin, and Victory at Sea

Fingers crossed here! You would have to think those states are in the works, they wouldn't have just picked 3 random states in their post?

The Alpine stuff you will be getting will be brewed by Green Flash. They are good beers, but they are not quite up to the stufff brewed up at alpine itself. But its good bews none the less!!

This would be great. Hopefully it comes to fruition soon. Mad Tree and Fat Heads should follow suit

Looks like this has started popping up in Lexington (Lexington Beerworks). Cool.

Why is Lexington getting beers before Louisville (Alpine, Brew Kettle, etc.)? Is it strictly a matter of distribution companies?

It's got to be. Lexington usually is the last to get anything. BTW, there's still 5 Alpines on tap at The Beer Trappe.

Yeah, I saw that and that's what prompted the question. I'm a Louisville boy (went to UK though, wish Beer Trappe had been there then)

I'd be happy to trade the Trappe for the Grale any day

However, Trappe is supposedly opening its cellar in the very near future for the first time ever. Which means, as a friend described, instead of being able to buy the beers when they were released for retail, now you get a chance to pay a lot more because they refused to sell them back then.

Yeah, so Tuesday the Trappe is opening the cellar. Price and bottle list unknown. No carryout sales, bar only.

Trappe only five years old, so nothing's been cellared longer than that. I just saw one of the BC Rare's get opened. $150.
