When Drizly opened its doors, I registered immediately, because I spend so much time taking subways around to distant bottle shops. However, I was 100% disappointed. They do deliver lots of craft beers, but the ones I like -- hardly super-specialty -- like Devil Dancer, 120-Minute, Double Dog, are just nowhere to be found in their less-than-imaginative list. So, I'm back on the rails, chugging around town to find what I chug.

Don't think they are in PA or have much presence yet outside of NY, MA, so no idea about their selection, but they seem to have a lot of growth potential.

With a bit more digging I found a list of the cities where they are active outside of NY and MA. That's impressive growth in 3 years or less.

Come out to Westchester or Connecticut once a month and load up a big bottle shop. The prices are a lot better than the city, too.

120 minute is not something you just walk into every week at the bottle shop...

Hi. I just did a quick search for Devil Dancer and see it is available in >25 of our partner retail stores across the US. Alas, you probably do not live in one of their delivery zones, which I regret. Still, great for me to collect consumer feedback to help us achieve our goal is any product, any time, on-demand.

Mike, who would you say is your target market? Is it us, or is it the majority of beer drinkers who are more interested in shopping on price and convenience rather than looking for massive variety of craft offerings?

It is in some markets. Chicago is awash with it. I could fill a U-haul with cases of the stuff

Target market is any legal-age drinker that, yes, values convenience and has a smartphone. In other words, we aim to service the entire universe of tastes (though you do not typically see anything south of Coors/Bud/Miller on the domestic macro side -- i.e no Natural Light). But yes, we are looking to service the massive taste for craft/unique. Keep in mind, Drizly is a conduit to the local store. So when you shop Drizly, you are shopping the inventory of the closest local partner store. We are working feverishly with all of our partners to bring as many products to our app as possible.

I'd like to see a featured section if this was available in my market. I'm always looking for whats new and, more importantly, might not be on the shelves when I come back next week. I don't want to navigate through pages based on style. I want to immediately go to what's new and interesting and won't be around long. Clearly this will be location-specific, but I think I speak for many people on here when I say I'd come back regularly if you can manage to supply limiteds.

For what it is worth, we are re-vamping the app and site to specifically to cater to preferences like this. It will take some time, but the work is being done, and should be released sometime in the fourth quarter.

There are hundreds of bottle shops in NYC and dozens of them have brews I want (though not all the time). Not sure what the criteria are for Drizly picking good bottle shops, but they probably aren't the ones that work for me.

Indeed, it is a blend of criteria used to form the partnership, not the least of which is suitability to deliver on-demand.
