Dropped off the Horizontalhood box today. It's 14th journey will only take 2 days so it will arrive on Friday.

Just popping in to say hello to the Locals!
One of the best things you can find on BeerAdvocate are people who are here to better the (craft) community. I can easily say that this group, The Locals, are some of the more generous and thoughtful people I have ever encountered on the internet! You guys and gals rock!

I've been staying away for a while as I've been working like crazy the last 6 months or so.. Anyways, I got a little in over my head with the BIFs and all, and started to get back tracked. I am all caught up on my boxes that I owe (with the exception of a small thank you box for @Kylo76 that will be getting dropped off in a few days)

I feel lucky to have some very generous and genuine people in here privately reach out to me and "wake me up". I gotta give one guy a direct shout out, @NJB145! He recognized that I was digging myself into a hole, and went out of his way to help me organize a plan to get my boxes out. Thank you for that.

I realize I may have pissed off a few people in here by lagging on getting these boxes out. I sincerely apologize to you all! I hope you know that it was never my intention to get so behind. I have learned that I can't handle so many BIFs/LIFs/Trades all at once, and need to stay within my means. I'm hoping we can all move forward and you guys can accept me back in here as a Local!

So, that being said, now that I am back on my two feet, and have paid my debts, I would like to offer a LIF!
I am going to be giving some beers away to a random person in here. All you have to do to enter is respond/reply/quote this post and tell me about a time you encountered someone in the craftbeer world that went out of their way to help you out. It could be a shop owner who held a bottle for you, a bartender who hooked you up that one time, a buddy who knew you wanted a certain beer and shared it/gifted it to you, etc... you get where I'm going with this. (I will close this up at 9pm PST on Saturday 9/12 - winner will be picked using a random generator. I will take all the usernames that respond and have a winner picked out for you on Monday 9/14 - everybody is eligible to participate!)

Dear target for locals 7, I must apologize. I have what I need for your box, but am now unable to pack and ship it for a while.

Dear sender, if you have not shipped yet, you mifght want to hold it for a bit. If you already did, or do, my wife will bring in the box, hopefully

A word of advice to all Locals, if you have been told to go to the ER by your doctor, and you stop to drop off a box, don't tell your wife. I'm in the dog house, but more importantly, the box is on it's way.

Bad news, I was committed to the hospital and no news for how long. I have a serious infection that has me on iv until it gets better. It is bad enough, that it could cause bad shit. Worse part, my wife aint bringing me no beer

so, the only whine you will get out of me...and i will only say it once, excluding some locals from the anniversay toast was BULLSHIT.

so, how is that for a post that's all over the place?
