Well, I'll just have to wander down to the brewery for the "Bitter" after visiting the local shop for some fresh stuff to make a "Blunt" (Legal on Oct1st!)

Cowherd is a racist hack of a sports reporter. Way to keep it classy, Rogue.

So... Just because Akuma does everything superior to Ryu and Ken, you assume he MUST like a superior DIPA as well Huh?

OP - if I see it on the shelf and for some crazy insane reason it peaks my interest, the purchase is possible. But not likely.

Grow yer own between the hop rows.
And if it's an $8.99 Rogue, I'll give it a shot.

Yup. I get Santa's Private Reserve every year and still enjoy Dead Guy Ale. To each his own, I guess.

Sure, super fresh Brutal Bitter is all over town and it's good (Although if Boneyard is pouring.......)

Yeah. They make some beer I don't like, sure, but I can just stick the stuff I do like. It's not even that expensive around here. Hell, it's still pretty popular in beer geek circles; the hate on this forum and others is pretty much just the type of snowballing outrage over a handful of bad ideas that's so very common on the internet. It's cool if it's not your thing, but the whole "Rogue is the devil" circlejerk is pretty stupid.

Agreed. They make some really good beer, and they make some, well, not so good stuff...

I am the only one on BA that liked those Voodoo series beers, besides the Lemon one...I thought they were decent.

    The popular things on BA...

    Hate KBS
    Last year's ------ was better
    Hate Rogue

You had me right up to the word voodoo. The first one ruined the whole series to me.

Yeah, not even I'll defend those, and I kind of liked the Sriracha Stout. Though in my defense, I was less than sober when I tried it.

I don't really get it, probably a pass for me since I don't really care much about Rogue or Colin Cowherd haha

My dislike of Rogue doesn't stem from their "bad ideas." In fact, the one weirdo beer of theirs that I've had (the first installment of their Voodoo Doughnut series) I liked well above anything else I've had from them (still didn't like it all that much). My dislike of Rogue comes from the fact that everything I've had from them I've had to choke down or drain pour. Now, Rogue makes a lot of beers, and it is very possible that they make a few that I would like, but based on past experiences I've had with Rogue, coupled with the fact that there is a seemingly endless amount of beer and breweries out there that I either know I like or have not had bad exeriences with, at some point it becomes a "fool me once/fool me twice" type situation.

Haha. I'm messed up though. I swear, I like some nasty stuff, but yeah, it tasted like what it was supposed to taste like.

If you go into something having already decided that you hate it, your brain often searches for any excuse it can find to dismiss it.

The price thing I get; I probably wouldn't buy a lot of their beer if I had to pay out of state prices for it, though that's never stopped fans of Ballast Point, myself included. Being turned off by the CEO's less-than-stellar reputation? I can definitely understand that, though they're likely far from the only major brewery to be run by someone who's kind of a dick. I kind of get not liking them for not having freshness dates, but people seem to look past that when they buy something from Southern Tier or Laguinitas. But the whole every-beer-they-make-is-a-drainpour thing seems like a ridiculous conclusion. Like, you couldn't choke down Dead Guy or the Oatmeal Stout or any of their IPAs? Really? Even if you aren't a fan of those styles, they're pretty inoffensive examples. In fact, in spite of their reputation for making out-there beer, I'd wager that the vast majority of their lineup is pretty inoffensive. That's what confuses me about all the Rogue hate on this forum.

I agree, i think the majority of their lineup is inoffensive and not "out there". I also like Shakespeare and Hazelnut.
