    As someone relatively new to the craft scene, what is distribution of Bourbon County like in Central Iowa? Always released on black Friday?

    lucky. big ol' goose egg here. did get pours of vanilla rye, 2012 BCBS and 2014 BCBS, so that was awesome.

    I have a dream. One day, GI will use their Bud money and buy enough barrels and brewing space to make BCBS as easy to get as Bud. I'll be able to walk in, grab a 24-pack out of the cooler and drink myself into oblivion. It's the only reason I secretly liked GI "selling out.". I'd hoped it would make it easier to get.

    Enough barrel aging space to to that would not only consume all available bourbon barrels in Kentucky, it would take up half of Chicago. Maybe they can buy Wrigley to put the Cubs out of their misery and age all of the barrels there.

    Crazier things have happened. Urbandale HyVee was selling Vanilla with no limit last year. Then again, from what I understand, getting Vanilla to Iowa was a struggle. This is difficult to digest considering Iowa is one of GI's original markets and our sales have been relatively strong throughout.

    The Goose Island rep at the time also lived in Ames so I'm guessing that played a part.

    I heard @DollCraftEric is just a bot spewing out programmed messages. Same with his twitter account. That way he can just party and watch soccer and act like hes working. A fraud is what he is.

    He still lives in Ames, but he is the Deschutes rep now. He was made redundant by the ABInBev buyout, as were most (all?) of the existing Goose Island reps.

    Vanilla was hard to get in Chicago last year. Its difficut to digest how hard it is to get where it is made.
