The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

I'm behind on this thread (and will momentarily post something VERY IMPORTANT) but had to comment on how adorable this picture is...

 

Can I withdraw my pick (which is for this week)? I'm willing to bet that based on week 1, the Colts will be slight favorites, and I am not optimistic about the Jets covering :-). Plus I'd rather wait until I don't have much beer in the house.

Also, what are you gonna do if the Colts fail to cover in a week with no entries?

 

As ridiculous as it sounds, I used to enjoy watching some kid's shows with mine, and they were sort of fun bonding experiences (acting like an idiot and not letting mom know). The original Power Rangers were awesome! And I was luckily NOT the parent who escorted one of my kids to see Barney Live!, which was apparently as painful as it sounds.

 

I've watched Barney live on Netflix or something...it looks awful.

 

So -- I packed two boxes for my target tonight. The good news is that he is getting over 400 ounces, including over 200 ounces of wants, and almost 200 of Locals (I was lucky enough to be able to chase down a lot of wants that are local to neither of us, but wanted to hit the 177 ounces of Locals as well).

The BAD news is that Fedex doesn't recognize his addresss, so I am reluctant to use it. I think my target knows who he is (or at least he should), and I verified that the address @mklisz sent me is identical to what I already had in the directory directly from my target, but I'm still a little concerned). If I hear back within an hour or so (I traditionally stay up for the week 1 MNF doubleheader but probably won't do so tonight) I will drop off my boxes early tomorrow morning, otherwise I will harass previous senders to my target (and my target himself, if I MUST) to verify the address. I hope to drop the boxes off lunchtime tomorrow worst case.

 

Sure, I will remove your name from Week 2. Just remember to jump in on a future week.

If no one signs up for the week then no box will be sent out regardless of the outcome of the game. If someone signs up for the Bye week then they have to send me beer.

 

After meeting you, I promise not to pick a game where the Colts are underdogs or slight favorites, since me winning would mean them losing.

 

After the looks of yesterday's game that may mean that you don't get a pick in all season!

 

Yeah, and you're gonna get a lot of sympathy from this Jets (and Mets and Knicks) fan...

Shit didn't even notice that. I thought "Masterpiece" mean the pappy version, didn't catch the CGNC at the bottom. Anyways, still sounds freaking delish.
