My tip, make sure you don't have to drive after Borefts ;-) to many good stuff around there! I'm going on the Friday!
Bah, going to miss it this year. Had a great time last year though! One thing that was kind of nice is we showed up just as it opened, stayed for a few hours and tried some of the stuff that was going to run out and then we went to our hotel and napped for a few hours before returning. I think that was key to enjoying as much as possible without going overboard.
I'm going on the Friday as well. This will be my first time and I'm not that well acquainted with the craft beer world so won't be able to tell which stuff will run out. Anyone have some special recommendations? I'm mostly into (Russian) Imperial Stouts, Porters and also flavorful IPA's that aren't too extreme on the bitter. Bit afraid it'll be too much to grasp.
Going again this year which makes it my 4th year in a row. Borefts is pure beer geek heaven. Pretty much everything is basically amazing – walk to any brewery stand & tell them what you like. All breweries will probably carry those style. It is pretty hard to go wrong, some breweries will brew one or two intentionally extreme / polarizing beers, everything in general is cream of the crop.
If you enjoy Hoppy don't skip Boneyard! Not sure what day I will be there yet. Have to figure out what we are doing with our kids first. The list of breweries and beer looks fantastic!
