Bourbon County on the shelf

I have some on a shelf at my house.

 

This stuff is like the holy grail here in MI. It was gone in minutes when released. Not hours, days, weeks.......minutes. I can't believe some of you still see it on the shelf.

 

Never lasts long in our market. I think most bottles/4pk/cases/whatever are spoken for before they even manage to hit the shelves. At least that's the way it has been for the past 2-3 years.

 

There's a bottle shop near me that some 2014. They will only sell you 1 at a time n its $ 9.99 a bottle. I'm on my way to get one - along with some other brews - this afternoon actually. A bar near me has had a keg of it one their " soon to be tapped " list for 6 months. WTF

 

$9.99 Hell's Kitchen Brewtique in NY. Had some BW out a few weeks ago but think that went.

 

7 bucks a bottle? Cheap! Snag 'em up!

 

I saw that on a shelf in a Vons for some reason marked down to $17.99. I grabbed every last 4 pack on the shelf and it made my month.

 

Just found 2 4packs at a store in my town the other night, they got lost in the shuffle in the back room and just recently found them. Funny because my brother and I bought the other 4 when they hit the shelf 10 months ago. $24 a pop, no brainer

 

Depends where you live. I was in a low populated area of CA for last Black Friday and every Bevmo and Whole Foods apparently had people lined up at open and the two stores I tried just got two cases of regular each, no variants. Thankfully, the day wasn't a complete loss as we went to FW to start the day and scored some Maltose Falcons. I guess that counts as a humblebrag...

 

I remember it being quite a bit more than I was willing to pay. Maybe like 12 a bottle if I remember when we talked.

Seems like the northeast gets too much BCBS for their level of demand. If there are any ABInbev execs reading this, please take note and send some more of their share to NorCal next year

I've seen one store in the past few months with it behind the counter. Wanted 60 for the 4pk. Told him that's not happening and then he proceeded to try to sell me overpriced hopslam. No thanks pal.

 

Last year I saw it around the Greater Boston area a lot more than this year. There's a spot I know of that seems to randomly put them out at $7 a bottle(BCBS) and only puts a few out at a time. Last summer I would occasionally buy a $21 4 pack from the same spot. Over the winter I would see 4 packs at whole foods.

No, this is just a store that has a cellar room. Both of those were put in there on Saturday morning.

 

Gota keep the owner happy and leave some for everyone.

 

Bourbon County is one of the reasons to always shop around an area you do not live in. I was talking to some guys who were moving to Chicago, and they were amazed at all the good stuff that was on the shelf, including Bourbon County.

 

I live in Chicago. I haven't seen any on a shelf since the week after Black Friday. The only shops that would have it are marking it up to an obscene amount.
