Anyone know of any events going on for Sunday or Monday after GABF (other than recovery and liver transplants)? I will be going to all 4 sessions but my flight doesn't leave til late on Monday. I'll have a car and would be up for some reasonable drives from downtown. I know that many places will be closed on Monday, but curious as to anything that might be going on or places that would be worth a trip. My first thoughts is Falling Rock to see what might be leftover from the weekend events. I've been to Denver several times and have hit Falling Rock, Freshcraft, Hops & Pie, Bull & Bush, Wynkoop, Crooked Stave and Dry Dock before. Fine with hitting them again, but would gladly try out someplace new if there are better options.

Sunday will be more or less back to normal, and yeah ... some places are closed on Monday.

That said, The Denver Oktoberfest will still be raging: http://thedenveroktoberfest.com, and it's going to be entertaining to see how this, on top of GABF with more attendees, impacts the area next week. I've already heard bars say that they'll be turning away Oktoberfest patrons to make room for GABF industry and attendees. It's going to be mayhem.

I may have missed it but has anyone seen anything about a Fat Head's tapping of any kind?

They definitely had some kegs around town at GABF last year, so it wouldn't surprise me if there were more this year...

You could head North to hit up some breweries you haven't seen before. You could check out gravity in Louisville, Odyssey in Arvada, and of course there are some cool places in Loveland, Longmont, and Fort Collins. However by the time they open you may only have a couple hours before you have to drive and hour back to the airport. Maybe Gravity is as far as you should go. The new Avery brewery /tap room is great as well.

I may well end up flying solo at GABF due to some wacky circumstances. First time at GABF and I am a little anxious about not bringing a friend with me. Any thoughts?

You'll be fine. You'll be surrounded by like minded craft beer nerds, drunks and everything in between. I usally end up getting separated from people I'm with or supposed to meet and end up walking around by myself anyways. Plenty of people to shoot the shit with.

Be aware that you're highly unlikely to get cell phone service in the convention center so any plans you may make with other people to meet inside should be arranged ahead of time. And if your that anxious or just want someone to grab a few beers with, pm me and we'll see if there's a time that works for both of us. I'm always down to hang with strangers and friends alike if time and schedules allow.

Just checked for Android and it still has last years' breweries but that might mean update is arriving shortly to my neck of the woods. Thanks for the headsup

Yeah I got the notification of update just a bit before I posted that for my iPhone. I would assume Android would be at the same time so hopefully soon?

Actually I went to play store and updated from there. Looks like in app update button is not working. Really looking forward to my 1st GABF.

The brewers hall looks sweet.. Anyone know how breweries are chosen for this area?

Seems like it will be a prime location.

No....Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, Trillium, Treehouse Brewing, Maine Beer Co, New England Brewing. Are the New England breweries afraid of letting everyone taste their beers or what?

Jack's Abby and Lawsons will be there. Seems like most of the highly rated breweries that those BAs crow about are no shows though.

A 150 or so applied. They were selected by lottery.

How do you guys like the app versus the map? I had a hard time fumbling around with swipes and searches with my phone while carrying the taster.
