I recently got contacted from New York beer trader and I'm curious to what specific beers he can get that are worth while. Any help would be appreciated.

Should I name all of them or only 1000?

seekabrew.com is not 100% accurate, but it's a good place to start

Depends on what part of NY....NYC seems to have a few more options than upstate but we still have awesome distribution up here. What kind of stuff are you looking for?

Aside from that lots of great local stuff coming from New York City Breweries. Other Half, Singlecut, Grimm, etc.

^ what this guy said! Grimm and Singlecut are both [the shit], I mean, available upstate. Some select Other Half also, but not the cans...just growler fills.

I've looked at seekabrew but I was wanting more specific like does Maine Brewing get their Lunch and Dinner to New York. I know he's close to Other Half Brewing but I haven't asked specifically where he's at.

His exact location would make a big difference, New York is a very big place. Lunch makes it to NY but not Dinner.

Lunch is here relatively often, maybe once a month. Dinner to my understanding is brewery only. Maine has a lot of great options besides those two also. Zoe is delicious. Another One is also a good alternative.

I'll find out where he's at specifically. I guess am mostly curious about the bigger name breweries that are in or relatively close to NY. I'd love to try Alchemist brews, Hill Farmstead, even Lawson's but I know those are harder to get and Vermont only from my understanding.

VT only and brewery only in HF's case. We have a lot of great breweries available here but it depends on what kinds of beers you are looking for. Judging by what you listed, the IPA's from Alchemist and Lawson's are easier to obtain than HF. HF can be a pain to trade for because it is so limited.

EDIT: it will also depend heavily on what exactly you have for trade. I forgot to mention that.

He lives in the NYC Manhattan area. I'm open for all styles, I just hear so much about the east coast IPA's more than any other styles

Other Half has can releases pretty often. Grimm and Singlecut stuff are super underrated and super tasty. Other Half has awesome IPA's...if you can't get a can release trade for some growlers.

Sounds like you're ISO of a VT trader not NYC...

Also you can get fresh Heady/SOS in NYC, but it will typically run you $10 or so per can. Probably more sensible to find a vermonter.
