@gjoker321 as you now know, I was your sender. Saw that your received the boxes, just a quick heads up, the black cap growler is Brash- Cortado, and the other one is Brash- ***** Wagon. Both stellar beers, can't wait to see what else Brash does!

Chicago-area Locals… I’ve recently convinced my boss to start trading beers – mostly with me and one of my coworkers. We bring him stuff from Trillium, Tree House, Hill Farmstead, and he gets us stuff from Chicago where he has family and he travels somewhat regularly. He’s also got a cousin back there who is also into good beers, but definitely isn’t like us… he hadn’t heard of Pipeworks until I requested some recently.

I’m looking ahead 2-months, and I was wondering how big of a dick would I be if I were to ask my boss (or my boss’ cousin) to wait in line for Prop and the other BCS releases on black Friday? I’ve read horror stories where people had to be in line by 4am and weren’t even in the front of the line. Any tips or suggestions that I can pass along in the off chance he considers it? What might he expect for wait times / limits?

Also, biggest upset of all time – and pretty funny. I’ve got an old college friend who manages a market / liquor store. He’s always bringing cases of random bottles to parties, usually a mix of amazing Belgians (the owner LOVES Belgians and stocks the store to the brim) and fresh locals (Brewmaster Jack, Night Shift, etc…) even though his preferred beverage is High Life or Bud Light. In the past he's even held limited stuff like KBS and Parabola for me without it ever reaching the shelf. I asked him about setting aside BCBCS or Rare for me this November, and he told me that the owner of the store refuses to do any business with AB-InBev out of principal. A+ move for that guy… just sucks I’ll have to wait in line like everyone else on Black Friday.

This past year I camped out at the Binnys Lincoln Park store which is supposed to be the main store. I arrived at 230am store opening at 830am and I was like 280-something in line. The first person was there at 1030pm the night before I heard. The limits last Nov were 1 4pk or reg and 2 variants. They ran out of reg before they ran out of coffee and other variants so later people were getting three variants (2 coffee and a barleywine mainly) and at the very end getting three 4 pks of coffee. If you were towards the front you had to take the 4 pack of reg and could not opt for three variants. Hope that helps

It's gonna be a shit show pretty much anywhere you go. I don't know what the new format on bottles sizes is going to do to things. I went to my local Binnys at 5 am and was told if you got there early enough you'd got a Prop and Vanilla. I was #10 in line and when I got into the store, they said we had to choose. Sadly, getting BCBS stuff is much easier to do in Wisconsin than Chicago, with the exception of Prop. And I'm scared to think about what Rarer is going to look like and what the market is going to do.

Haha, thanks for the insight guys. I think I'll hold off on asking my boss for favors of that magnitude for now... I'm sure he'd love the beer, but might fire me if he had to stand in line for 5 hours.

Last year I stopped at a grocery store for a few things on Monday night after the T'Giving weekend - this place doesn't advertise limited releases and doesn't put them on the shelf so you better know exactly what's been released and then literally have to ask the manager for the specific bottle you want. A stockboy got in line behind me with a bottle of VR. Really confused (since I called on Friday and was told they were out), I asked how he got it... Initially he was flustered then admitted that one of the liquor department associates hid the case on black Friday so when the manager got in he had just assumed they had all been sold. Then the associates and his friends bought them 1 at a time at night over the next few days, always after the manager had gone home. I was equal parts impressed and livid. They probably got fired once the manager reviewed the inventory, but for a minimum wage gig it was probably worth it.

It isn't clear if my target has made me yet or not. Regardless, a box is packed and ready to go out tomorrow. Your wants list was a massively scary challenge for me. Still, I haven't asstwat you'd want me to send you...I'm taking a stab in the dark. Stats on this box are as follows:

    11 bottles + swag.
10 locals + a bottle I happened to have on your wants list.
    10 beers aged in barrels
9 Beers that would be considered sours or 'tart'
8 Hours spent driving to/from a release for 3 of the bottles
    7 750ml
    6 beers over 7%
    5 different breweries represented.
    4 Fruited Beers
    4 Wax tips
3'ish Wants hit, but I'm confident a few more are oversights on your part.
    3 Cage'n'Cork
    2 375ml
    1 Bomber
1 can of beer brewed with a very special local ingredient
And a partridge in a pear tree

I'm leaning towards putting together a second box of fun local extra's (though you've been getting boxes from my compatriot here in CO, so it would take some research to figure out what you haven't had). This one just fits so neatly into a 12-shipper, and I'd be sad if any of the bottles were broken by those asstwats at FedEx.

Final hint as your FedEx tracker will out me tomorrow if you don't already know:
Your username references a sports team. Thankfully for you (and the contents of your box) it isn't the team I would've naturally expected given your address. Tom Brady is an asstwat.

I love the sentiment, but that was my hesitation too.

10! Don't forget the 3 'hood boxes, those are "traditional" BIFs  (of course neither of those numbers count the innumerable LIFs/ninja's/'wars'/etc)

A little while ago I sent @JasonR1975 a couple of Pizza Boy Sours (Blackberry and Raspberry I believe) as part of the Wish List BIF ran by @Kylo76. Jason felt the need to send me a little thank you box, he was smart enough to wait until it was in route before letting me know so there was no point in complaining>

Dark Horse - BBPT5th & 6 Pairs of Legs: BBPT5th is one of my favorite beers and the only beer in this box I've had a chance to try, 6PoL's is a big time want of mine
Kuhnhenn - American Imperial Stout: Should have been a want, love imperial stouts
Griffin Claw - Norm's Raggedy Ass IPA: Should have been a want, love local canned IPA's
Oddside - Queen of Tarts: Sounds deliscious
Perrin - No Rules: Another big time want, "Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling"
Blackrocks - Nordskye: Another sweet local can

Awesome stuff Jason, also totally uncalled for! Can't wait to drink all of these!

And to my round se7en target, I plan on doing some shopping this week/weekend to finish up your box/boxes. My goal is to ship next week. I'll throw out a few final hints once it's en route, but I think you are already on to me.
