This. Between all the USA brewed crafts at TW and the goodies being produced at the local micros, i rarely bother with imports.

I never drink imports. Probably not the best thing in the world, but if im at a bar or a bottle shop i never look at the imported sections. There is so much great beer being produced in America.

Definitely less than 10% outside the US for me (probably closer to 2-3%). I overwhelmingly drink US beers, with a few Belgian beers providing that 2-3%. Can't even recall the last time I had a German beer.

I put less than 10% but for me it could easily be zero. I can't remember the last time I drank an import. Top reasons being that I believe American brews to be the best but I'm also a buy American guy. I drive American, ride American and try to buy American whenever its feasible.

I really don't remember the last import I had. Probably Guinness.

It really varies for me as I tend to bounce around from styles often, and get stuck in Belgium often from time to time

It was much different back in the day, there was a lot more foreign beer drinking since there was just not as many prolific breweries in the US.. Back then I was drink a LOT of beer from Belgium... .then the scene suddenly it just exploded like crazy to the point that where I live there is so much small producing domestic brewers available.. and much of it very good too!

I barely drink any import. Not because I don't want to, but because most of what I want to drink are hop bomb IPAs or massive stouts, and most of the lighter stuff I drink in between like pilsners and hefeweizens are both cheaper and easier to find if they're American.

Probably about 1/3 non-American. Mostly Belgian, but I do have some German standbys as well. Hell, Weihenstephaner probably clocks in at nearly 10% on its own...

I'm at less than 10% overall. About 20% of the beer I drink on tap is imported. I've just had to many freshness issues with bottled imports to buy them from most retailers.

Being an American who drinks almost exclusively American craft, it is easily less than 10% imported beer.

When I do drink imported beer, it's the occasional Fuller's or Samuel Smith's from England. a few different brewers in Belgium. then some German brews usually Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, or Ayinger.

but i usually only buy American beers

Overall it's probably <10%. I have been on a German kick lately but it still only amounts to a case or two overall in the grand scheme of things.

There are so many good American beers that I don't look at the import section very often. I actually can't trust the freshness and storage practices of the imports in the stores that I frequent.

I drink 90-95% American. The only import I drink on a somewhat regular basis is Peche Mortel. I occasionally drink a Belgium Quad or something from Mikkeler

I said less than 10%. It's almost more solely based on all the Péché Mortel I drink.

I love import beer, but there's so much available here in the US now (especially here in California)- I definitely prefer to drink in my own backyard so to speak / drink local. If I drink import, it's usually from Belgium or Denmark

Ha! Yeah, my percentage of German goes waaaay up this time of year, too (although Spring gives it a run for the money).

I'm just not seeing the freshness issues you guys are talking about- just lucky, I guess. This way I get to drink the best no matter where it comes from :stuck_out_tongue:.

Recently I've been grabbing beers from the import aisle. I think I've had my American craft blinders on for a while, and just got a little tired of everything hoppy. Lately I've been drinking more german styles, abbey ales, British stuff. Nice to get back to some classics and appreciate where much of the stuff I'm usually drinking evolved from. Probably around 20% imports lately.

Probably less than 10%, The only time I really buy imports is on special occasions, a birthday, a big holiday like Christmas - and normally it is Belgian. Since I have only been drinking beer for a year, this equates to not very much. I had one German beer this year too.

I find German and Belgian and English brewing traditions really interesting and I appreciate their rich history and skill and whatnot, but it is just easier and cheaper for me to drink US beer, and since I am new to it, relatively, there is still so much for me to try, with new beers constantly being released! Not to mention the matter of freshness.

I would like to drink more Belgian beer though.
