It's 20 tables with 100 plus beers. This is all the distributor/brew reps. If the dude from the store even came near my and made a comment I would look at him, ignore him, and continue to drink my samples. Then I would confront him and ask for an extensive list of beers for him to gather for purchase. I would then walk to the counter and tell him never mind and walk out. There wouldn't be one god damn thing he could do about it.

Haha, funny you should say that. When I got back my Double Shot exploded open too and got beer everywhere. I think it's the swingtop bottle that doesn't release pressure gradually. Maybe the other poster is right about opening them up right out of the fridge (and directly above a sink).

Either a swing top issue (Tired Hands growlers have huge problems) or L-dog drops something in there as revenge for people bringing their dirty bottles in for fills.

I apologize for hijacking the thread. I was just mentioning it because a lot of you come here after going to Tree House. This is one of the other beer guys at Yankee. I thought I was on my personal account and not the store's account. I apologize to everyone, especially the guys up at Tree House.

L-Dog ain't filler a dirrrrrty growler. She sniffs every one before filling.

FWIW, I let all of my beers warm up for 30 mins and never have a problem.

I had a growler of Double Shot explode. I think it was due to it being exposed to some heat in my trunk as I didn't go home that day. Maybe yours got hot as well?

What I don't get is that they will reduce the can limits as the days go on and the volume dwindles, but they leave the growler limits set regardless of the quantity left.

Any reason as to this? Why not reduce it to one bottle when the almost out of something, probably just prevents stuff from sitting to long, but I've always wondered this.

I would not worry about it. Bigger things to worry about...

Finally had a chance to try canned TWSS and canned Julius. Had Julius 2-3 years ago in a 2 week old growler. Ridiculous, DrJ is such a perfect juice bomb without going overboard on ABV. Then not a milk stout fan at all, but TWSS is so super smooth. Lactose is not even close to being overly sweet. Roast malt is great too no burnt taste. We are truly lucky in MA.

No apology needed, IMO. If I'd gotten out of Tree House a little earlier I would have loved to stop by and taste some Oktoberfest beers.

Finally tried Double Shot....wow. Probably my favorite stout. This place is simply on another level. I know I am not adding much to the conversation, but the consistent top tier quality on everything they put out boggles my mind. Thank God they are just far enough way not to take all my money.

How was the crowd tonight? Guessing just Julius will be left for cans tomorrow? Planning to bring the old man for his first trip in a while!

Seemed pretty relaxed. There should be some Julius left. You just might need to be there early.

Edit: site was edited and there are still 70 cases of J left for tomorrow. Nothing else for cans.

I got there about 3:50 today and was about 40th in line (growler slip 28). When the doors opened at 5, I'd say there were 70 people in line. I was out with max cans and growlers by 5:30.

They sold out of all cans except Julius (70 cases for tomm at 6pp, so 280 people get a sixer).
