    Fire...and aftermath...post-evacuation therapy (good family time, all together in a room, sleeping on floor, connecting and making the best of the situation...rays of light in a otherwise dark, and uncertain situation)

    6 million dollars a day to fight the Butte Fire (almost 40 million expended already)...over 4400 personnel descending and fighting the good fight...70,000 acres torched

    Still nursing this Odell IPA but I thought I would share with how my dog tried to kill me today...

    I took him for a short walk and was returning to the house. We just entered my front yard ( he's on a leash ), he decides to reverse fields & gets behind me. Before I know it the leash wraps around the back of my legs & keeps on running. Before I could react, both of my legs are cut out from under me & down I go, of course on my left side. So my shitty left wrist & hip take the brunt of the fall. I cussed a blue streak & smacked him on the nose twice ( bad owner, I know ), about 30 seconds later, my pain & anger subside. Of course the dog has acted like I tazed him or something the rest of the day. I will be so glad when this dog is out of the puppy phase ( within a year in theory ), I'm not sure my body can take much more:confused:

    Hot tub beer: Off Color Brewing's Bare Bear. Nice evening out, didn't appreciate the spider webs. Listening to the sounds of nature &the warmth I would guess it was July. All these acorns, walnuts & hickory nuts dropping in my yard tell me Fall is on the way
