Well, the last year or so has had me acquiring less beer to cellar. The birth of my daughter who is now 18 months (Awesome age) has me drinking less and losing focus on cellaring gems. So right about now, every beer in my cellar is at least a year old. So as of a month ago, I decided to start popping open the fruits of my will power labors once a week. Not sure if the beers are so good because my consumption is less, or if DAMN! Time has been good to these beers....

2013 Stone Espresso Imperial Russian Stout is a dream compared to fresh. Time has been good. Oh, so good to this beer. Drinking now.

2014 Drake's Blue Bottle Coffee Jolly Rodger Imperial Stout (drank last week) oh! So smooth and mellowed.

2014 (year & a quarter, can't recall exact date) Supplication, wholly schitt!!!

Thought I'd share. Other BA's recently deciding to put a dent into what they've been cellaring? Please share. CHEERS!

Gonna be trying several for my birthday late this year of some couple year old ones. Hope I have as much luck with the beers as you did. Congrats

There's a great thread each month in the cellaring forum about cellar reviews, where this belongs.

Great thread! My wife and I are considering a move out of state in the next year so I'm trying to make a dent in my cellar as well. It's kind of hard to face because I'll have to drink all the rare stuff I've been hoarding, so I've started with the easy stuff.

I opened up a cs surette today and it aged really well, all tart stone fruit and funk, despite the low abv. I opened up a 2013 narwhal the other day which had developed a lot of (not good) soy sauce flavor.

Anyway drinking the beer I've been cellaring is a good experience because it puts all of the collecting/hoarding into perspective.

    Cheers!

My cellar has more than a dent, it's pretty much dead lol. 3 bottles can't really be called a cellar can it? Lean times my friend. ..:slight_frown:

Haha. 3 bottles down shouldn't really even be called a dent.
